The house is a modern villa in an elevated position built in 2006. It has a large sitting/dining room, a separate fitted kitchen, separate utility room and 3 bedrooms, each with an en-suite shower room or bathroom. It comfortably sleeps 6 in 2 double beds and 2 singles. All floors are tiled. The large partly covered terrace extends along the front of the villa and the end overlooking the pool.

There is a large tiled area for sunbathing around the 10m. x 5m. heated salt-water pool (not overlooked by neighbours), a pool-house with w.c., barbecue (gas provided) and 6 sun-loungers with mattresses. There is parking for several cars within the gates.

We are a retired English/French couple from Buckinghamshire living here permanently since 2006. While you're here we will live on site in separate accommodation. You will have sole use of the pool which we will need access to once a day for maintenance, at a time to be agreed.

Why Colin Williamson chose Draguignan

We chose this area for the blue skies and because it's in the heart of beautiful Provencal scenery. It's midway between the coast and the Gorges du Verdon, with easy access to many attractive Provencal villages. We chose this plot for the views and had our villa built in 2006. The A8 motorway, 20 minutes away, takes you from one end of Provence to the other.

What makes this villa unique

One acre plot, no close neighbours. The pool is completely private and for your use only. We are on site in separate accommodation to maintain the pool once a day, at a time to be agreed, and to deal with any problems. We know the area well and are happy to share our knowledge, if required.

5 minute drive to Draguignan with dozens of restaurants and cafés, and all amenities.

Notes on accommodation: As there is very little level garden and the depth of the pool is from 85cm to 2m15cm, in our opinion, the property is not suitable for children under 8. Outside: The long terrace extends along the front and one end of the villa. It is accessed from the kitchen, living room and bedroom 2. From the terrace there are 3 steps down to the large tiled area around the pool. The heated salt-water pool is 10m. x 5m. The shallow end is 85cm. deep and the deep end is 2m.15cm. It has a filtration system and an electric security cover to be used when the pool is not in use. You have sole use of the pool . Access is required once a day by the owner for maintenance. There are 6 sun loungers. Pool house with w.c., hand-basin, sink, lighting, electric points and barbecue, gas provided. Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, ironing board, sink, cleaning materials. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The villa and pool will be thoroughly cleaned before you arrive, with a briefer weekly clean for lettings of 2 weeks or more. We provide bed linen, and face, bath, pool and beach towels for each guest, changed at the end of each week. Other: Dining table for 6 on the terrace, easily moved in or out of the sun, and armchairs to relax in.

Excellent accommodation withperfect hosts in a quiet location

Excellent accommodation in a quiet location giving excellent views of the med coast. Our hosts, Colin and Marguerite were perfect hosts, a well stocked kitchen allows for self catering at a high standard and simple things such as towels and shower gel ensure all needs are catered for. This is the second time we have stayed at this accommodation and I cannot recommend it enough, you will not be diasappointed.

Outstanding property, very clean, well equipped, owners helpful.

We've just returned from a week in this lovely villa, it was very well equipped, with lots of nice and useful touches. The villa was lovely and clean, with fantastic views over Draguignan and beyond from the extensive terraces. The pool was the nicest we've experienced, with several inflatables to use, brilliant for kids and adults! Colin and Marguerite we're welcoming hosts, who were available if needed.

Lovely house and Pool

We have just returned home from a lovely holiday staying for a week at this house. Everything is well presented and the pool is pristine. There are lovely touches in the house with everything you need at hand.

Marguerite and Colin are a lovely couple who are very welcoming and are at hand if any help is required.

Fantastic Property, Lovely Welcome, Great Holiday!

We arrived to a lovely welcome from Colin and Marguerite who remained the perfect hosts. The Villa was everything we had hoped for and more! Spotlessly clean and with everything we could possibly need over our stay. The kitchen and utility from a practical point of view, were a great asset. A real home from home holiday.

The views are breathtaking over Draguignan itself, yet private around the villa and pool. The pool was maintained by Colin on a daily basis to a very high standard, our 4 children made excellent use of all the inflatables provided, while we made use of the pool furniture!

The location itself is central to all of the attractions of Provence. We flew to Nice and visited Toulon, Saint Tropez, Monaco, St Maxime, Gorges du Verdon as well as numerous mountain Villages. A hire car is a must!

We would thoroughly recommend this property and holiday to anyone considering this region of France. A real family favourite and would love to return!

We stayed her with friends for 2 weeks at the beginning of September everything about the property was wonderful. Colin and Marguerite were the perfect hosts, there for us if we needed them but ensured that we had the place to ourselves and encouraged us to treat the place as our home. The facilities in the accommodation were brilliant, stocked cupboards, comfortable beds, plenty of space to relax and everything was spotlessly clean. The pool area was lovely, lots of space with sunbeds, umbrellas and pool inflatables, all maintained daily to the same high standard by Colin.The views from the property were fantastic looking out to sea, whilst the property position ensured seclusion and privacy. One of the best holidays we have ever had and a place we will definately be going back to. Thank you Colin and Marguerite for a wonderful holiday, a perfect stay in a fab location.

Several excellent sandy beaches within 40 mins. drive at Ste. Maxime (also a waterpark), Beauvallon (also a secluded naturist beach), St. Aygulf, Frejus (also Aqualand), St. Raphael (also a PADI diving centre). Boat trips from most resorts. Port Grimaud 45 mins. St. Tropez 1hr. drive (longer in July/Aug.) or take the waterbus from Ste. Maxime to arrive in St. Tropez harbour (fabulous!). Cannes, Antibes (Marineland), Nice 1hr. Marseille, Eze, Monaco 1.5 hrs. (Monaco a bit longer by the spectacular Grande Corniche). Italy 1.5 hrs.


A car is essential. Nice airport 1 hour, Marseille airport 1 hour 20 minutes.

We are 20 minutes from A8 motorway, junction 36 Le Muy, 20 minutes from Les Arcs/Draguignan TGV railway station and just over an hour from Aix-en-Provence TGV railway station.

Car hire available from all airports and in Draguignan and Aix.

The A8 motorway goes from one end of Provence to the other.

Further Details:

The Gorges du Verdon and Lac de Ste. Croix (stunning scenery, beaches, swimming, windsurfing, boat hire) 45 mins. drive.

Lac de St. Cassian (beaches, swimming, windsurfing, boat hire) 40 mins.

Many vineyards in the area.

Lots of attractive medieval villages with reasonably priced family-owned restaurants and markets (every day of the week somewhere) within 1 hr. drive.

Grasse, St. Paul de Vence, Aix-en-Provence, 1 hr.

Avignon, Orange, Arles, the Camargue, Mont Ventoux can be visited in a day.

Draguignan is a good centre. It is a small town of 40,000 with all amenities including 6 supermarkets, dozens of cafes, lots of restaurants (38 in Yellow Pages!) Large markets Weds. and Sats. - food in the attractive marketplace in the historic old town, non-food in the main car park in the new town. Large tourist office.

From Draguignan you have easy access to the rest of Provence and the A8 motorway.

We are walkers (well, strollers) and can provide details of several interesting walks in the countryside that start and end within a short drive from Draguignan.

Several VTT trails locally.
