We have worked in the property business for over thirty years, bringing homes back to their former glory with a modern touch.
SHEREE SMITH purchased this farmhouse in 1997
We originally purchased in France as our own holiday home and decided a few years ago that it is too good not to share. Although in a quite location, it is ideally situated for the road networks, air, rail and ferry travel for access to and from your home and also to explore the many beautiful attractions on offer in the region. We absolutely love the Mont St. Michel which is magical and only 14 miles away from us. There are many sandy beaches within easy reach, lots of coastal trails and walks, Children's amusement parks, fishing golf, horse riding, cycling and walking routes. Of course there is the beautiful countryside which surrounds us, fields, woods and the world famous Jules Lepenetiere hourse training track.
Conveniently tucked away in a quite location with the benefit of being near enough to be the on the main road network within minutes. Should you wish to stay away from the bustling beaches and cities, we have lots to offer here at Marigny, our very own beautiful gite, boasting south facing patio and gardens all around, wonderful pool area for splashing around or relaxing as you wish. The all important wifi which is available in house and poolside too. The children's play area has now been constructed and we are pleased to present The Mini Manoir for the smaller holiday maker. This is located so that it is visible from the frontage of our entire property. Plenty of space for outside dining.
Stayed in the 2 bedroom gite in the last week of August. Warmly greeted by Sheree and Brent upon arrival and shown around this recently renovated gite of which they are justly proud- it is stunning! The complementary welcome pack was very welcome and the wine certainly hit the right spot. The grounds and surrounding area are very tranquil- however within 45 minutes drive in any direction you will find something to wet the appetite be it a beach, medieval town, quaint harbour, the fairy tale Mont St Michel or simple auberge serving stunning food and drink! Don't hesitate to go to bijoux gites - get in quick!
Situated in a peaceful rural location but within easy reach of many interesting places to visit.
We spent a fantastic week at Marigny 2 in July 2016. The property was in excellent condition with great facilities for a young family (2 year old child). The listing description etc was very accurate and there was plenty to do in the surrounding area to keep us entertained. Sheree and Brent went out of their way to give us a quiet, easy and relaxing holiday. We would definitely recommend this property and may well visit again in the future.
We stayed with our two sons (5&3) in Marigny 2 & highly recommend it. Sheree and Brent have thought through every little detail to make Marigny a relaxing and comfortable place to stay - they are such welcoming hosts.
Inside, the gite is really well furnished & equipped and outside the pool is warm and the kids loved the sand play area complete with castle! We could sit outside our gite whilst able to see and hear the boys in the play area from a distance.
So much to do in the area - mont st michel, beaches, Cancale (for seafood), zoo & st Malo etc etc - all within an hour's drive.
We stayed for one week in July. The gite is beautifully presented with all mod cons.
The location is rural, surrounded by farmland. There is no road noise at all as it is well off the main roads.
Both bedrooms are ensuite and very comfy. We all slept very well.
The pool area is lovely. There are various pool toys available for the kids. The pool is always warm, with an outdoor shower and loo. ( I quite enjoyed showering outside with the lovely view!) The pool is around 1.4 meters deep and the same depth all the way around. Importantly for us as we have two young boys, the pool is fenced off and has an alarm. (I accidentally set it off one time so it definitely works!)
There is a lovely outdoor play area which has lots of toys and is also fenced off.
Sheree and Brent are wonderful hosts who have made the area their home. They are full of useful info about the area should you need it.
There is a supermarket not far away called super u. It is not walkable, but only a short drive.
We would definitely stay here again.
Thank you for making our stay so wonderful Sheree and Brent.
This is a beautiful property set in beautiful countryside. It's very quiet and peaceful. The landscape is charming. The property itself is comfortable, clean and full of character. There is huge attention to detail and all our needs were catered for.
The heated pool was bliss and the outside shower with facilities an added bonus. There was plenty of attractive, outdoor furniture to relax and dine.
My wife and I spent a week in Marigny 2 with our 2 and 4 year old daughters. The house and gardens are beautiful and the attention to detail is very impressive. Brent and Sheree are the perfect hosts and were extremely helpful in recommending places to go and things to do. It is hard to put into words how peaceful the place is. The pool and play area are ideal for small children. There are plenty of inflatable pool toys too. There is a fence around the pool with a child lock on the gate so we didn't have to worry that the children would fall in. There is also a sensor alarm on the pool. Our 4 year old spent the week picking wild (and not so wild) flowers. The area is rural and agricultural but there are two towns with supermarkets etc about 5 miles away. There are also lots of things to do within 30-45 mins drive (zoo, aquarium, beaches, markets, historic towns). This is an ideal rental for parents with young children who want to enjoy France and keep their children happy at the same time.
