This villa exceeded our expectations- the villa was presented beautifully with a very homely feel and the garden and pool were fabulous- Arrived late evening to a well come pack -much appreciated. We enjoyed relaxing in the spacious garden and well maintained pool. We would definitely recommend this villa to families who want to holiday in Pissouri Bay and would definitely return to this villa when we holiday in Cyprus in the future.
The villa was great fabulous Pool and gardens
It was a lovely villa in a great location.
We had a problem with the water due to local workmen turning our supply off by mistake. The couple who managers the villa were very quick to sort the problem out and could not have been more helpful. It was perfect.
My husband, I and our toddler stayed here for one week. Even before we arrived the owner's communication and helpfulness already far surpassed our expectations; prompt and helpful responses to our request for a high chair and cot; followed by a kind note that was sent by the owner in advance to advise us that it would be Easter at the start of our holiday, along with an offer to pick up any extra items we would need with the shops being closed for a few days.
The house itself was perfect for our needs. All the little extras stocked in the house made for a stress-free stay. There's even a rack of spices! The pool was a bit cool so we didn't get to make full use of that but the gardens were beautiful and our daughter loved playing on the terrace and grass. Everywhere was lovely and clean upon arrival. We slept so well here, listening to the sea as you fall asleep is blissful!
The proximity of the house to Pissouri Bay was just right for us, within 5-10 minutes’ walk (flat) there are about ten restaurants and tavernas which we found enough for a one week stay. If you are looking for hustle and bustle and lots of shops this is not the place for you!
We had a bit an issue with the key (our own fault entirely) and the couple who look after the house for the owner (Anne and Phil) were so good about it and they came to our rescue (on a bank holiday) so quickly, it was vey impressive. The owner was amazing - very thoughtful and understanding!
I would happily recommend this villa to a couple or small family looking to get away from it all and wind down. The owner, plus Anne and Phil are second to none - you won't meet many people with such an inclination to make your holiday as perfect and relaxed as possible.
It is rare to find a property that is so well equipped, decorated and cared for. It was much more like staying in a friends home than a rented villa. A few minutes to the beach, local shops and restaurants, Pissouri is an attractive part of SW Cyprus, within easy striking distance of Paphos, Limassol and the Troodos Mountains.
Picturesque Pissouri Bay with its 2 km long beach is a 3-minute stroll from the villa. The undeveloped parts of the beach provide quiet relaxation in natural scenery. The main beach area offers a variety of water sports, safe swimming monitored by life guards, beachfront restaurants and cafés. Ramps provide wheelchair access to the walking path along the beach.
Avdimou Bay, a protected conservation area with its 2 unspoilt beaches is a 10-minute drive through rural countryside and vineyards.
Paphos (20 minutes) and Larnaca (70 minutes) via motorway.
Driving in Cyprus is on the left.
Car hire is not necessary for relaxed beach holidays as Pissouri Bay is a self-contained resort, but it is essential for exploring the island.
All major car rental companies operate from both airports; booking is recommended.
Local car hire and taxis are available but tend to be expensive.
Ferry: Limassol (30 minutes) via motorway.
Pissouri Village (5-minute drive) commands stunning panoramic views over the Bay. The village has a lively atmosphere with musical performances in the modern amphitheatre and traditional Cyprus nights in the village square.
Aphrodite's Rock (Petra Tou Romiou) is a 7 km drive along the scenic coastal road.
The historical Kourion site is a lovely 20-minute drive through rolling hills.
Paphos and Limassol with many tourist attractions and ancient sites are a 25-minute drive via motorway.
Pissouri Bay has an excellent choice of restaurants and tavernas for all budgets, 3 mini markets, ATM, travel agent, and gift shops; all are in walking distance.
A hypermarket, butcher, bakery, pharmacy, medical centre, petrol station, 2 banks, restaurants and pubs, can all be found in Pissouri Village only minutes away by car.
English is spoken everywhere.
In Paphos the historical Tombs of the Kings, the Fort by the old harbour, and the famous Mosaics adjacent to the seafront promenade are worth seeing.
Limassol and Larnaca are busy cities with tourist areas and wide promenades at the seaside as well as old traditional town centres with a wide range of shops, restaurants and bars. Nicosia has excellent museums and a beautiful walled-in pedestrian town centre. Nearby is the traditional village of Lefkara with its famous lace (beware of Chinese made copies!) and traditional silver jewellery. Within 30 minutes drive from Pissouri the traditional villages of Loffos, Vouni, Lania, Omodos with pedestrian cobblestone roads, old stone houses and small tavernas are a must as is the surrounding scenery and vineyards where you can taste the local wines. Troodos Mountains offer walking and hiking paths as well as small old churches (UNESCO heritage sites) and working monasteries; the most famous one of those is the grand Kikko Monastery. In less than an hour you reach the small seaside village Latchi with excellent seafood restaurants, a long promenade along the beach; in the small harbour there is a dive centre and boats for hire (hourly/daily) to explore the beautiful remote Akamis Peninsula. From the nearby Birthplace of Aphrodite, a small pond in beautiful setting you can take long walks on the cliffs surrounded by mountain goats and take in the turquoise sea below.
