Just yards from amenities, restaurants and bars and with magnificent coastal and beach walks direct from the door. The mild climate ensures optimum conditions for a fabulous stay - and also fields full of yellow daffodils in the spring!

About Sarah Richards

My husband and I live in Dorset and seem to be attracted to counties with names beginning with "D"! Both holiday properties being close to reservoirs is another strange coincidence.

We have always loved Devon. My husband spent much of his formative years in Devon and I was regularly visiting relatives who lived in county. We became fond of Derbyshire more recently and decided to buy a holiday home there. The apartment could not be better - arriving there always fills us with a deep feeling of relaxation. We have two daughters who both learned to ride at the riding school close to the Devon cottage. We love wildlife and the natural surroundings of both properties with the huge bonus of being able to walk out direct from the door across miles of beautiful Devon or Derbyshire countryside.

What makes this apartment unique

Hayle is enjoying a renaissance. Once the poor relation of St Ives it is without question on the up and set to become Cornwall's new upmarket tourist hub. The mining heritage, wildlife and fantastic beaches guarantee this and what's more the position within the Land's End peninsular make it accessible to many picturesque and historic sites. There is tons to do within a very short distance from world renowned attractions such as The Eden Project to more eclectic site such as the Minack Theatre.

Notes:
The fact that upon arrival guests can simply saunter out to get their Cornish pasties or a pint of St Austell ale without having to make great plans to travel further is so relaxing. The position is fantastic for an away from it all holiday and yet in a place which has so much on hand. You could even holiday here without a car - the train station is a 2 minute walk from the apartment and trains run direct to London along the most beautiful West country line and across Brunel engineered stretches. The journey itself is a real pleasure. Equally Newquay Airport with flights from London is only a short distance away.

Stunning modern apartment in upcoming Cornish town

Apartment clean and inviting with welcome tray including tea and cookies. Overall well appointed and stylish. Just be aware it's a pent house apartment and has internal stairs as well as the communal flight.

Great views of the estuary and out to sea. Short walk to the beach and shops restaurants etc. Recommend harrys cali style restaurant for taco Tuesday. Trip to St Ives by train also worth doing. Paradise park great for kids.

Owner's Response: I am so pleased you enjoyed the apartment and of course the stairs (just a return staircase within the apartment which makes you feel as though you are in a house rather than a flat) are the means of getting to the level where you can experience the most amazing views of the estuary and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. Harry's Cali Style is indeed excellent and makes great cocktails aswell as food!

Luxurious few days

Fantastic new penthouse apartment with stunning harbour views. Minutes walk from the station and town centre, with a good selection of eateries and the local Asda supermarket. I sampled one of the locally produced pasties and Cornish ale, yum.

The apartment is very well equipped and furnished in a modern style. There are a number of easily accessed walks to take in the history and geography of Hayle. St Ives is an easy train ride away and saves the hassle of parking when you arrive.

The apartment was spotlessly clean and was like a home from home with seemingly every need anticipated and provided for.

I would recommend this property wholeheartedly.

Family break in Cornwall - fabulous luxury

We travelled to Hayle with my fiancé, parents, brother, sister and her two young children. It was the most fantastic place to stay and seamlessly organised from start to finish.

The flat is brand new, as is most of the furniture. The beds were all extremely comfortable and the bathrooms both spotless and spacious. The first thing that struck me about the flat was the size. Coming from London I expected a fairly small open plan Kitchen to go with the 3 rooms. The living area is huge and the terrace outside is great for the amazing sunsets you get watching the sun go down over the harbour.

Hayle itself has several good bars / restaurants within 5 mins walk and the large Asda just a few doors down was really helpful in getting ourselves stocked up for a long weekend. The supermarket is not an eyesore nor is it noisy to be close by due to the double glazing in the bedroom windows.

Overall I would thoroughly recommend this flat to anyone looking for a cornwall break. St Ives is a 5 min drive or stunning train ride in. Hayle is an enjoyable place to stay and would certainly be back here. The three rooms comfortably sleep 6 with room for cots / fold aways that we took with us. Communication with the owner was straight forward and Sarah was very friendly. 5 stars, can't wait to return!

Refundable damage deposit $329.73

Booking Notes:
Bookings should preferably be made by e-mail and supported by a non refundable deposit of 50% (minimum £200 deposit) with the balance payable 6 weeks prior to the first date of the reservation. Payment can be made either by cheque to the owner or direct credit to the owner's account. A security deposit of £250 is payable by cheque which will not be banked unless needed.

Changeover Day:
Changeover is on Fridays (Fridays/Mondays for short breaks in low season). Arrival from 4pm. Departure by 10am.

Notes on prices:
Short breaks in low season are either from Friday - Sunday night (3 nights) or Monday - Thursday night (4 nights).

50% of the rental is due to secure the booking with the balance of 50% being due by 6 weeks prior to arrival. The security deposit is payable by cheque which will not be banked unless needed. Upon receipt of the security deposit (which please send a month in advance) directions and access details are issued.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

Please ask the owner or check their rental agreement when booking the property.
