House in Swanage, Dorset, England - Just Two Minutes Walk To The Beach And Town Centre

Our lovely four bedroom, two shower room converted Gentleman's Club has a large off road parking drive. It is just two minutes from the Main Beach and Town Centre with easy access to local shops and amenities within walking distance. The house is Central Heated and Double Glazed for your comfort with additional heating available from the gas fire in the large family lounge. There is a dishwasher and washing machine available for your convenience too. There are two kingsize bedrooms upstairs, one of which has an en suite shower room. Downstairs we have a family room with kingsize and single bunks and a double room with a bunk with a single on top. The second shower room is also on the ground floor.

My name is Steve and I currently live and work in Swanage. I have owned this house since 2000 and until recently lived there with my family. Due to my sons flying the coop I have moved into a smaller place and have chosen to offer my former family home to visitors to Swanage.

Why Steve Peach chose Swanage

I love this part of the world. So close to beach but with easy access to cliff walks, forests and downs, this has everything to offer. We are so lucky to have so much going on throughout the year with our Blues, Folk and Jazz festivals, our sporting events and, of course, our amazing Christmas and New Year activities. If you have never been to us for our Carnival Week end July/first week of August then you must - you won't realise what you are missing until you share the experience.

What makes this house unique

The property is so close to town but with the added advantage of my new off road parking - I wished I'd done it years ago! And, of course, I have my lovely decking area - perfect for a pre-dinner glass of wine in the evening.

Outside: There is an outside courtyard/drive which can be used for BBQs and smoking. The upstairs decking area has seating but NO BBQs or smoking please. Utility Room: Freezer, drinks fridge and washing machine. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed lined included. Hand and small towels provided for all guests, face cloths available, if required. The house is cleaned and towels and linens are changed weekly on a Saturday.

Our award winning, beautiful sandy beaches are just a two minute walk from the house and are just a minute from the town centre and local amenities. Deckchairs, loungers and pedaloes are available for hire and our traditional Punch & Judy show is a must. There are amusement arcades and a mini fair/playground close by and it will be difficult to resist our Ice Cream Parlours, Chocolate shop and Tea Rooms and Cafe/Restaurants.


Get to Swanage on a short bus journey Wareham Station by bus 41 which runs every hour and is timed to meet the trains which come in from London Waterloo. We are accessed by road from Weymouth, Poole, Bournemouth and Bournemouth Airport.


Wareham 11 miles, Weymouth 28 miles, Poole 20 miles, Bournemouth 24 miles or 12 miles via the Ferry and Bournemouth Airport 28 miles.

It is 58 miles to the M3/M27 Southampton, 93 miles to the M5 Exeter and 107 miles to the M25 at Bracknell.

Being in the Town Centre we are within walking distance of the local shops, supermarkets, post office, restaurants, cafes, pubs and amusement arcades. Don't forget to try our amazing Steam Train service which runs to Corfe Castle. Why not visit the local museums, Durlston Country Park or the recently re-opened Durlston Castle. Visit Tourist Information just along the main beach for a full list of all the wonderful attractions available in beautiful Isle of Purbeck.

Booking Notes:
One third of the total cost must be paid as a deposit with the balance and security deposit due 8 weeks before the booking arrival date. Bookings made with 8 weeks of the arrival date will need to be paid in full.

Changeover Day:
Our preferred changeover day is Saturday but may be subject to change depending on other bookings. Arrival time 4pm but may be available earlier if discussed with Steve. Departure strictly by 10am latest to allow access for our cleaners.

Notes on prices:
Prices range from £535 - £1380 per week. One third of the total cost must be paid as a deposit with the balance due 8 weeks before the booking arrival date. Bookings made with 8 weeks of the arrival date will need to be paid in full. Should you need to cancel we will endeavour to re-let the booking and will refund the amount paid less a 15% admin charge to cover our costs for re-letting. If we are unable to re-let the booking no refund will be given and the full booking fee will be payable.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 7 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
