Our stay at Honeypot Cottage.
Perfect getaway if you want peace and quiet, Niel and Carol (owners) made us and Reg (our dog) feel extremely welcome from start to finish. The cottage was very well equipped with everything you need, the garden was lovely with furniture and also enclosed so Reg could do his own thing!!!
Sidford itself is a quiet little village with a spar supermarket, chippy and a couple of local pubs. The Blue Ball was a good place for food and a drink and very dog friendly.
The little touches when we arrived at the cottage were very nice, bottle of wine in the fridge along with eggs, butter, juice etc.
We had a smashing stay, with special thanks to Neil and Carol.
Will be in contact with them as we will be returning soon.
Excellent Accommodation & Great Location.
We have just come back from staying at HoneyPot Cottage with our dog Sid. We had a lovely stay and the cottage is quiet, comfy, clean with a powerful shower, your dog is also made most welcome. If you were staying in winter then the cottage would be ideal as it would be so warm and welcoming on a cold day. HoneyPot Cottage is modern with good free wifi, Sky tv, Netflix if you have your own account. The owners are very friendly and helpful and are there if you need advice or help as well as giving you your privacy. The cottage is well located for pubs and restaurants or fish and chips. There is a wonderful country / river walk down to Sidmouth town and seafront just around the corner. You are also very well located for visiting everything in Devon, Dorset and Cornwall is about and hour and half away. There are so many lovely country walks that are local to HoneyPot cottage and so many places to visit and things to do. I would recommend Honey Pot cottage to family and friends, but deep down I would also like to keep it a secret so they would always have vancancie for our next visit. But the best places are always shared for everyone to enjoy and if you decide to book Honey Pot cottage then you will enjoy your stay in wonderful Devon.
Honeypot Cottage Sidford

Our stay at Honey Pot Cottage
Our arrival at Honey Pot Cottage was up to my expectations. The area is lovely and the garden was beautiful. Unfortunately some personal issues came to the fore, which resulted in leaving me unwell and under medical supervision and also seeking advice from other sources.
Flaming June 2017
Our second visit to this delightful retreat. A glorious week of high temperatures sunshine and blue skies enjoyed in the beautiful garden and property. Honeypot Cottage is well insulated from the heat of the the day and cooled by sea breezes in the evening. The property is comfortably well equipped and furnished. Carol and Neil have provided an exceptionally good holiday rental property.
Delightful. A home away from home. Our dog Candy is still missing the garden!
Honey Pot Cottage is clean, very comfortable, cosy and well equipped. The welcome we received from Carol and Neil set the tone for our fortnight's stay and the little extras for the fridge, the bottle of wine and the lovely flowers - lasting until the end of our stay - were so thoughtful. Our dog loved the enclosed garden and ventured out there at every opportunity. We can recommend this property to anyone who enjoys a peaceful setting to relax in and to return to after a good day out. If you have a car you can visit many places of interest from here. If not the bus services are frequent and it doesn't take long to reach Budleigh Salterton and Exmouth in one direction and Beer, Seaton, Lyme Regis and beyond in the other. The Donkey Sanctuary (very spacious) is a must visit . Last, but no way least, is the wonderful Sidmouth less than two miles away. Do walk from Sidford along 'The Byes' by the River Sid into Sidmouth - it's lovely! You will not run out of walks in this area - there are several around Sidford, and Sidbury links up to the East Devon Way. Also plenty of walks in the places along the coast that you may visit including, of course, the coastal path. This is a wonderful part of the country but what makes it perfect is the ideal place to come back to at the end of the day and that place is Honey Pot Cottage. Carol and Neil have made it so and they do not intrude upon your privacy. However they are always on hand should you need any help at all. Anne and I would like to take this opportunity to thank our hosts for everything they provided.

We are always delighted to receive a review which clearly tells us that our visitors have enjoyed 'HoneyPot' cottage and the garden, our aim being to create a little haven away from home.
Our own love of Sidmouth seems to be reflected by many who visit and revisit. It has something for everyone, especially our lovely Byes riverside walk leading from here down to the sea.
Thank you to Anne, Chris & Candy for your very helpful review, we appreciate the time you have taken. Online reviews really help to guide people. Also, pleasing is that many of our bookings are now from personal recommendation which we feel is the best way.
Kindest Regards, wishes for happy times and special memories of Sidmouth😊
Honeypot Cottage is situated in the village of Sidford with two pubs, an award winning restaurant, local store and fish & chip shop. Our visitors love the beautiful 'Byes' country and riverside National Trust walk ( dog friendly) from the village down to the seafront. Visitors frequently say that a perfect day here is to walk down through the Byes, enjoy the town indulging in a browse around the many unique shops, a leisurely lunch, afternoon tea, a seafront walk, sit on a deck chair contemplating the horizon followed by a return Byes walk back to 'HoneyPot' cottage.
Exeter Airport and M5 junction 30 are 10 miles distant.
A few minutes walk to the amenities the village has to offer.
Just under 2 miles to Sidmouth by car or bus or the Byes riverside walk.
30 minutes approx. drive to the Cathedrral city of Exeter.
Sidmouth Folk festival has been celebrated in this lovely seaside town during the first week of August since 1955. It is a unique week long celebration of music, dance and song. The towns streets, glorious seafront and venues come alive ŷwith festive atmosphere as holiday makers and festival goers join together in a music based holiday to remember.
