Detached Villa with Private Pool on Royal Westmoreland Resort - 2 en-suite Bedrooms, Hi Spec Renovation, 24/7 Security, 5 mins to Beach (Free Shuttle), Housekeeper included
Serendipity is our Winter home and has been completely renovated to a high specification with stunning Coral Stone finishes inside & out and offers every facility and comfort that any discerning traveler would expect of a quality two bedroom holiday home. This was certainly confirmed by the Review posted by one of our guests following their 10 day stay - see their Review below.
There's a refreshing feeling of space as soon as you enter the Villa with the vaulted ceiling and coral stone columns of the Dining Room adding a touch of Colonial style. The glass-top table seats eight and is supported on two, magnificent Coral Stone Pineapples carved by Top Cat the Islands leading and world famous sculptor . The Villa is designed to take full advantage of the Caribbean climate with a spacious Living area flanked on three sides by double French doors which means that at all time of the day the room is flooded with light whilst enjoying the constant breeze that keeps the room cool . It is furnished with a large four-seater sofa and two matching love seats, and has views of the full size private swimming pool and the colourful garden. Serendipity is one of only a handful of the smaller detached properties on the Royal Westmoreland Resort that offers a full size pool - most have plunge pools or share communal pools. Immediately outside the living room is the spacious Terrace for relaxing out of the rays of the Caribbean sun and is the main meeting point at all times of the day. Under this covered terrace there are two separate dining locations which, with the attractive Gazebo, completes the dining options. The equally attractive Bedrooms are accessed from the open plan Living/Dining area, one of which leads on to the Terrace and has views of the pool beyond. Both have Bathrooms en-suite.
The stunning 6'x10' Monkey Mural at the end of the pool was painted by one of the Islands foremost artists Omawale Stewart. It is particularly intriguing when their live cousins visit as they can't believe that they won't come out to play. There is also an extensive collection of Omowale's artwork in the Villa. Serendipity has fibre optic connectivity which drives all the communications and entertainment. The 20Mbps High Speed Internet connection keeps you instantly in touch with the outside world. Music is provided by the flexible SONUS wireless system and the 212 channel Cable TV service is independently available in the bedrooms as well as in the dedicated TV room when you want to view a film or programme in a shared environment. Maturing at a rapid rate the garden provides guests with total privacy around the pool and the outdoor dining areas. One of its main features is its magnificent display of variegated Elephant Ears where the individual leaves grow to a gigantic 3'/90cm. Our gardener comes twice a week but promises not to carry out any noisy work before you are all awake!
The entire Royal Westmoreland Resort has 24/7 security patrols which have resulted in zero crime and the Villa is further secured with its own alarm system which is linked to a Central Station.

About David Mills
Barbados is our second home and has been for the last 20 years. Five years ago we sold our Villa on Sandy Lane and were not planning to buy again, just rent as our guests had been doing for 17 years. However, we soon missed our own environment hence the birth of Serendipity. We have always enjoyed renovating and this is our second in Barbados and Serendipity was in desperate need of a face lift when we bought it and it certainly has had that and more. There is not a room that hasn't been touched and we have also added a Laundry/Maids room so no more ironing in the living room - which was happening when we visited the Villa prior to purchase! We hope you will enjoy your experience in our new home.
David Mills purchased this Villa in 2013

BEAUTIFUL villa with great facilities
What's not to like! We have been to Barbados and RWM many times but this was the best villa we have stayed in by a long chalk. It is really spacious with all the facilities you would want. Undoubtedly the best aspects of it for me are the fabulous patio and the pool surrounded by a lovely garden. (The inside is lovely too but in Barbados you dont spend much time inside!). Being able to sit out and swim in your own pool was brilliant. (Most 2 bed places at RWM do not have the luxury of their own pool!) The bedrooms are also spacious and very comfortable with great en-suites. The location is perfect - just up the road from the golf clubhouse. We are golfers, so to have the added benefit of the golf membership was a real boon and many RWM properties do not have this.
The housekeeper was excellent and we were well supported by the house manager too - not that we had any problems for her to deal with.
Booking was so easy and Vicki and David Mills are just so helpful and response. They provided a really informative information leaflet and answered any query I had within 24 hours!
We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back.

First class villa in a great location
We have just returned from a 9 night stay at Serendipity. David and Vicki were extremely helpful and efficient running up to the stay, providing all sorts of advice and insight. The villa is absolutely beautiful, spacious and exquisitely furnished. The housekeeper is very helpful and makes the stay a complete delight. We were able to use the extensive facilities of the Royal Westmoreland as guests including their beach. Recommend renting a car to get around, as there are lots of fabulous sights and restaurants within easy reach. Definitely would like to go again!
Another fabulous visit...we will be back again!
Stunning in all aspects. Our second visit & it will not be our last. The photos do not do it justice ( and they look pretty fab!)
Ps pack a lilo for paradise afloat on their big pool.
The most beautiful property in an excellent location - situated in a quiet cul-de-sac on this prestigious resort with elegant interiors and private garden setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, taking the resort shuttle to Mullins Beach and riding the local buses to Bridgetown, Speightstown and Holetown. It was lovely to relax by the pool and watch the hummingbirds and bats visit the garden. A very clean and well maintained propertty with all the facilities you could want. We will be back!
Beautiful villa in the best location
Finally got around to posting a review but wanted to ensure I did this as we had the most fabulous time. The description and booking arrangements were so accurate and easy. The property itself was more than we expected, the furnishings were beautiful, great pool and the housekeeping all excellent. We've been visiting Barbados for 13 years but this was our first stay on the Royal Westmorland property, for us the beach club facilities at Mullins beach were brilliant as we love the beach, such a bonus to have this included. We will definitely be returning and recommending this to our friends. Thank you David and Vicki.
As this was our Silver Anniversary we wanted to celebrate in style , and we got everything we wished for. the maid service was unintrusive but welcomed daily. the home itself had everything we needed, we found that the pictures never done this fantastic home justice. as for the estate it was also to the highest standard with everything catered for and something that the whole family good relax and enjoy. I would highley recomend hiring a car whilst on the Island and get out to explore as it has so much more to offer than just the most stunning beaches. Fill your days from swimming with the turtles to having a great time at the wild life sanctuary, then wash it all down with sunset cocktails at Mullens bar. Our highlight for food was Tides although every where we ate was to a very high standard. as Arnie would say.... I'll be back!
Serendipity is ideally located, half the way up the West Coast of the Island, to cater for a whole variety of needs of the most demanding holiday maker from relaxing on one of the stunning beaches to exploring the Wildlife Parks or unexpected horticultural finds such as the awe inspiring Hunt's Gardens. Add to these the beautiful restored Plantation Houses such as St Nicholas Abbey, just 20 minutes from the Villa, or the underground Stalagmites and Waterfalls at Harrison's Caves, the various Museum's, Wildlife Reserves, isolated Coves and so much more. So, if Sightseeing is your desire it's all within easy distance of Serendipity.
