This cosy Cornish old miners cottage is positioned 100 yards from Perranporth beach in a hideaway location amongst other alike cottages. A short stroll down this hill is the village of Perranporth. Sleeps 3. Entrance by the stable door with two downstairs bedrooms and a bathroom. Bedroom one leads into bedroom two, which then leads into the bathroom. Bedroom One: Double bed (4ft 6ins) Bedroom Two: Small room with a single bed (2ft 6ins). This room leads into the bathroom. Bathroom: Shower over bath, wash hand basin, w.c. and a heated towel rail. The stairs lead to the open plan kitchen/lounge area. Kitchen: Electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and a timber breakfast bar to seat up to four people. Lounge: Georgian style windows to enjoy views of the beach, with beamed ceilings and Cornish stone walls. Two, two seat sofas, with a colour t.v., video, dvd player, stereo and a Parkray solid fuel fireplace with a glass front. Small courtyard to the front of the cottage where one can sit out and enjoy the Cornish fresh air. Please note that there are ten uneven steps up to the cottage.

Lovely visit

Cottage was fantastic an suited our needs. Upside down arrangement was great.

Would have been nice to have had access to a hair dryer and was expecting to sign a visitors book.

Damp and could be cleaner

This property was disappointing. It is tucked away directly behind another property (about 1-2 metres away), so all but one of the upstairs windows looks directly onto the wall of the adjacent property. This makes the bedroom (downstairs) particularly dingy and damp. There is a sea view from one upstairs window only. The 'outside space' is simply the narrow concrete gap between the properties, so don't expect to be able to use it for BBQ or eating outdoors.

The property is old and has plenty of character but is very damp (especially downstairs) and could have been cleaner. There was an overwhelming smell of wet dog ingrained in the bedroom carpet which got into all of our belongings and luggage. When the heater was turned on, this became so strong as to be nauseating. The kitchen was well equipped but the fridge barely worked. There was good speed internet throughout and a small television / Sky Box (free-to-air channels only).

The biggest plus point of this property was the location - it is right by the beautiful beach and perfect for wandering into Perranporth. This is fortunate, as parking is off-site in a public car park at the top of a very steep hill (5 min walk) so you can't just jump in the car.
