PerranporthPerranporth is a favourite destination for families looking for their ideal family holiday. The beach at Perranporth seems to go on forever with three miles of golden sand on which to play and explore. The beach backs on to dunes on one side, and up onto cliffs and the coast path towards St Agnes on the other, with wonderful walks in either direction. The beach also has many rock-pools to play in, with the tidal pool at Chapel Rocks a safe place for children to swim.

Leisure facilities

Perranporth has lots of things to see and do. Surf-lessons are available on the beach, or for something a little gentler, there is a boating lake in the village (seasonal). There is a bowling green, and an 18-hole golf course many think is one of the finest in the county. Beach and evening horse-rides along the beach are very popular, and for a real high – why not take a leisure flight and see the whole area from the air?And for extra excitement why not visit Perranporth in September for the annual Triathlon and junior Aquathon organised by the Perranporth Surf Life-saving club? Perranporth through the year:In the quieter months Perrranporth still has lots to offer. With easy access to the lovely coast path, the walks to St Agnes to the West and Holywell Bay towards Newquay are stunning and popular favourites with locals and visitors. Wild-life is abundant and you might even see dolphins!

Chapel Rock Perranporth

Did you know? Perranporth takes it’s name from St. Piran, the patron saint of Cornwall who landed at Perranporth having floated on a mill-stone all the way from Ireland!. St Piran’s Day is on March 5th , and is celebrated every year with a processional play across the dunes. And with a range of restaurants, including the Watering hole right on the beach, and shops to suit every taste and budget, Perranporth really does have something for everyone.
