Why Linda Moon chose Winster
Beautiful area, good central location. The village of Winster sold itself to us when we visited! It has a lovely feeling about it and is very friendly with great amenities such as the village shop and pubs. Great location for enjoying outdoor pursuits - walking, cycling, rock climbing etc but also plenty of interesting places to visit: Heights of Abraham, Chatsworth, Crich tramway museum, Blue John Caves. We have also enjoyed joining in the village activities: pancake race day, Winster wakes (annual carnival), secret gardens.
What makes this Cottage unique
We find the village of Winster very welcoming and enjoy our stays here, whether it is a relaxing short stroll from the house, a more challenging hill walk, cycling the numerous off-road cycle tracks which are great for the children or enjoying the good fare in the Old Bowling Green. There are plenty of activities/places to visit which we have enjoyed such as Crich tramway museum where we love riding the old trams, Chatsworth, cable cars upto the Heights of Abraham or a day out for the kids at Gullivers Land.

My 3 children, husband and myself spent 4 nights in East Bank Cottage. It was a great place from which to explore the Peak District. The cottage was clean with 2 large bedrooms and a bathroom. There was tea, coffee, and milk left for us. The check in was easy. Thank you
Lovely cottage in Winster
Stayed for a week in this lovely cottage. It’s conveniently located and a good base from which to explore the environs. We did some lovely walks right from the front door. Very quiet at night and a short walk to either pub and the small grocery shop in town. Only con was that the cottage is a bit musty, but it does air right out once you open the windows. Also I found the mattress to be a bit hard, but my British mother assured me that I’m just a soft American. :). Owner was extremely responsive and I’d highly recommend the property.
Lovely village with good pub and shop! Fab walks around village, overall excellent place!
Lovely cottage in great location for touring the dales. It has everything you need for your stay and Linda replied very quickly to our queries. I would definitely recommend the cottage and happily stay there again.
Fab cottage , brill location for our lovely dog walks , locals very friendly - superb food in 2 pubs - cottage exactly perfect in every way - love it & would highly recommend.
Great stay in a lovely village.
The house was exactly as advertised and nice and tidy upon our arrival. Entry to the property was also very easy. Winster itself is a great little village, and if you are looking for somewhere nice and quiet to escape to it is perfect!
