Beautiful cosy home
The annex was just a perfect little place for stay cosy and clean, couldn't have asked for more. Pat has ensured that there is everything available for the stay including milk, tea and biscuits, even a small treat for the dog on arrival. Beautiful little private garden to sit out with the dog. Very close to the beach and not far from good eateries. I will highly recommend this stay to anyone thinking of visiting cornwall around porthowan area. All in all it was a perfect holiday week for us at Cornwall!
Thank you so much for the great review. I am so pleased that you liked the annex and enjoyed your first visit to Cornwall. It was a real pleasure. We look forward to seeing you or any of your friends in the future. Best wishes to you both Pat & Keith
Perfect mid Cornwall base
Well appointed, compact annexe of owners' bungalow. All essential facilities & equipment available. Nice touches of fresh flowers & milk, plus biscuits. Mrs. Lilley charming & helpful.
Great base to explore Cornwall
The property is in a quiet residential area with a car parking space. It is an annexe to the owners bungalow and has it's own entrance and lovely secluded garden. There are views of sunsets from the front and lovely night skies. We didn't arrive until late but Pat was waiting for us. It was well equipped and having the garden it was easy to dry the washing, and there was a tumble dryer in the shed. There was also a new freezer. It was an ideal area for exploring all of Cornwall and South Devon. You are very close to lots of NT properties, and English Heritage sites, etc. The scenery is fantastic. The hedgerows were full of wild flowers. There are a number of local beaches that are good for surfing or watching. It is a bit of a walk from the property to the local beach and is an uphill climb coming back. There are some local places to eat but we didn't get to try any of them. We were near the end of a month travelling around Cornwall and the Scilly Isles and this property was one of the best equipped. There were also enough towels, which had been a problem in some of the other places. Pat was on hand and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly use it again if we are in the area.
Thank you Jean for taking the time to write your kind review. I am very pleased that you enjoyed your stay & that you found it a convenient base for seeing much of this part of Cornwall also that you got the opportunity to watch the setting sun over the Atlantic. I look forward to maybe seeing you both again some day. Kind regards Pat
A very clean and comfortable base from which to explore north Cornwall
The property was clean and well appointed with everything you require apart from a freezer for the ice! Patricia and her husband made us feel very welcome and Archie their dog was lovely! We can highly recommend this property and is one we shall book again
Thank you for your nice review. We look forward to seeing you & your perfectly behaved doggie again some day. I will adress the freezer issue. The new fridge did not include an ice compartment.
Kind regards Pat & Keith
