Plenty of BBQs when weather is fine. There is a TV with Freeview. Internet is available via 3G. Numerous Internet cafes in Twickenham and Teddington, if required.
We had a great stay at the houseboat in August - it served excellently as a comfortable and welcoming base for five manic days using our Merlin passes at Legoland, Thorpe Park and others. Short walk to Twickenham and its shops and places to eat and also the train station which is then 20 mins in to Waterloo. Everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable was there in the boat and all in all, being on the boat, was different and added to our holiday enjoyment. We had a great time thank you!
Brilliant place to stay. The locals very friendly
Lovely cosy, comfortable boat with great views from the roof terrace! Felt very much at home. So peaceful on the river, we didn't want to leave. Walked everywhere - Hampton Court Palace, Richmond and of course into Twickenham. Loved the White Swan on the riverside and there's live bands playing in lots of the pubs nearby. Would definitely recommend!
This was booked for surprise birthday break for my son (23) and his cousin. They had a brilliant time, combining sighseeing, including Hampton Court Palace, Richmond Park, ate in some great restaurants within walking distance and even managed to do some fishing in river Thames to chill out.
As well as the boat being a great novelty and experience, it was in a superb location and kitted out as good as any 4* hotel.
Parking was easy but car not needed as transport links close by; boat owner very helpful, but brother lives close by for anything needed. Community also very friendly. I'll be booking this next year for a break with my husband.
It was so lovely to be able to spend 5 days in your gorgeous little houseboat. It had everything we needed and then some. When the weather was bad, we just stayed in and enjoyed all the creature comforts one could ask for and when the sun showed its face, it was so close to all manner of public transport or just a quick walk into town that we were never left feeling stranded or wanting for something to do. I would definitely come stay again!
My husband and I spent a wonderful week in this cosy boathouse. It has everything one needs for daily living, in addition, tea, coffee, and milk was available to welcome us on our first day. The place was clean, the beds were made, and plenty of clean towels and cleaning equipment available. Ideal location for busses and trains and lovely walks along the river and to the Parks. Best of all was to look out of the window in the morning and watch the swans and geese go by, and parakeets flying overhead ! A peaceful wildlife haven in the middle of London ! We are already planning our next stay !
