2 Bedroom lodge in a countryside area and close to town with shopping available
This 5 star award winning lodge is modern, homely and well presented for a comfortable stay. The lodge has two bedrooms, one being a double with en-suite shower room,the other being two twin beds, there is also the main bathroom which has a bath and shower, towels are not provided so please bring your own. The living area comprises an open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen area which then lead out through patio doors to a timber decking area equipped with outside garden furniture. The lodge offers free private internet/wifi to its guests the network name and password are to be found on the router. A parking area is available to the side of the lodge, grassed areas and gardens surround the properties and the remainder of the site. The site offers an award winning restaurant, bar and indoor leisure facilities including a heated pool, gym, weights room, steam room and a beauty treatment area. The site is located for easy access to the lake district, Yorkshire dales and Trough of Bowland for outdoor activities or scenic journeys. There is the Leighton Moss nature reserve for wildlife and fauna lovers, the coastal beaches for children, and historic cities and market towns for quieter days. Pets will be considered, please discuss with owner.

About James Farley
Hello, We are Jim and Julie the owners of the property, we are both originally from this area though have travelled quite a bit during our working careers. We purchased the property last June and are now offering the property for rental directly with ourselves. Both of us are retired and spend our time, with our cat Mr. Darcy, between living at a different lodge on the site and a property we own in Spain. It is therefore difficult to give a single point of contact by phone so we feel that it is best and cheapest for all parties to contact initially through e mail. We will always be contactable for any questions/queries you may have.

This lodge is ideally situated for a holiday maker who wishes to have many options on how to spend their time. There are many days out to either the popular Lake District, or Yorkshire Dales. Or you can visit the local areas of Trough of Bowland or the area of Silverdale and Arnside and other local villages. The area also offers many outdoor activities, beach/promenade days at Morecambe or historical visits to Lancaster and Kendal. Locally there is Greenlands farm ideal for our younger guests with child play areas and farm animals.

Great property well looked after and owner was a great help.
Everything you needed in the lodge and the owner was very helpful. The park was great but does need and outdoor play area with facilities for kids. Restaurant was absolutely fantastic and the service was good. but could do with a small shop on site.
Thanks for your review. I have previously spoken to the park management about the two issues you raise and they tell me they do intend to have a play area for kids, not sure when though. Regarding the shop they do not find it economical to have a shop since there are 3 supermarkets in Carnforth which is 2 miles away, I can understand their view on this but hopefully we will get a kiddies play area soon.
We came for a relaxing stay for our anniversary and certainly got it. We were so relaxed we were horizontal.
The lodge was well furnished and the beds very comfortable. The site resteraunt and bar first class and extremely friendly staff. Unusually, local residential owners that we met were very friendly. (Thanks Barry & Val.)

Only one comment, the site would benefit from a site shop, with the best planning some things are forgotten when packing toileteries & groceries.
Thanks for your kind and positive review, I note your comments about the shop and this has been raised before by other guests. The site owners say that since there are three supermarkets within 2 miles it is not worth them stocking items for sale, they cannot compete on price and fear a site shop would be uneconomical for them. I will raise it again because if there is sufficient demand then they may reconsider.
Great holiday home in carnforth
We had a lovely family holiday for a few days in carnforth, could not fault the site and the cabin, very clean spacious and modern with excellent facilities. The owners were very friendly and informative. The site is ideal for touring the lakes , would definitely recommend to family and friends and would definitely revisit .
Coast/Beach: There are a number of beaches in this area of Morecambe Bay some of which are more for walking or playing games which need plenty of space these beaches are only 3 or 4 miles away. The beaches suitable for bucket and spade type activities are in Morecambe itself which is about 8 miles from the lodge. Travel: Use of a car is recommended to access the many surrounding areas of interest. Carnforth train station is the nearest being only two miles away and offers access to all areas of the country. The nearest airport is Blackpool(approx. 30 miles away), Manchester airport is further but has a good train service to Carnforth. Distances: Carnforth is two miles away and is suitable for banks, shops and most local amenities. Morecambe is 8 miles, Lancaster is 8 Miles, Kendal is 11miles and Windermere is 18 miles away all of these offer further amenities and places of interest. Further Details: At the South Lakeland Leisure reception desk they have a large selection of brochures on the many places of local interest and days out for the family. The use of the swimming pool and other facilities can be booked at the leisure centre reception desk.

Booking Notes: A 25% non-refundable deposit is required with the balance being paid 4 weeks prior to your arrival, if your booking is made less than 4 weeks before your arrival the full amount is required. For short breaks calculate the price as follows:- 3 night break 62% of weekly rate, 4 nights 75% of weekly rate, 5 nights 88% of weekly rate, 6 nights of weekly rate is 100%. South Lakeland Leisure Village operate the leisure facilities, bar/ restaurant and site wide wifi, if you choose to use these facilities then you will need to pay SLLV for the use and this is not included in our rates. Changeover Day: Changeover day is flexible since we welcome short break holidays. Arrival should not be before 4pm, departure is required by 10am. Guests should leave the lodge clean and tidy.
