Perfectly situated by the harbour!
We loved our stay in Waterside Cottage in Polperro. The cottage is perfectly situated overlooking the inner harbour, and only a stone's throw from both the Blue Peter Inn and the Three Pilchards. We ate in the latter almost every night and hardly scratched the surface of the menu!
The cottage itself was absolutely spotless and very comfortable, and is only 100 metres or so from the start of the Coastal Footpath to Lantic Bay, Polruan and Fowey, with the one in the direction of Talland Bay and Looe being in sight on the other side of the harbour.
Parking in the public carpark at the top of the village wasn't a problem at all, was very reasonable at £40 for the week, and the walk down to Waterside Cottage went some way towards counteracting the lovely meals we ate in the Three Pilchards!
We only had a couple of showery days, and on those we drove to Fowey to do some shopping and visit Pinky Murphy's.
Beautifully positioned cottage.
My family and I had a brief but relaxing time in Waterside Cottage, Polperrro. This property couldn't have been more better placed giving you a real feel of the atmosphere, both day and night.
I would like to add a special note of thanks to the property owner Emma, who showed both kindness and empathy towards our unforeseen personal circumstances just prior to our holiday. Thank you
Very Cute & Very Comfy
Stayed here for a week.
3 Lads, enjoyed the whole week and wished we had stayed another week.
Lovely quirky cottage
The cottage itself is overlooking the beautiful harbour of Polperro. It is extremely well furnished and has everything you need for a great stay. the rooms are a good size and the bed very comfortable. We travelled as a group of 4 adults and the four floors gave us plenty of room. The cottage retains many original features. We really enjoyed our stay and would book again without hesitation. Just watch out for the door ways if you are tall!
Stayed here in last years summer holidays, the price was fantastic for a lovely cottage for a young family of 4.
Though it looks quite small, It is set over 4 floors and gave us all the room we needed. The décor in the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms is nicely done and there are plenty of original features in the comfortable living room.
The cottage is ideally located for exploring Polperro and the costal path going in either direction give fantastic views and walks. If you can't walk there, then Fowey and Looe are only a short car journey away. I would highly recommend this cottage which was great value for money. RT Barnsley.
We visited Polperro in Cornwall which is the most beautiful place I have ever been to, images on internet do not do it justice, the reality is much better. I could not have imagined to get better than that.. It had it all -Green hills, fields with animals grazing, the sea crashing against the cliffs, beautiful weather, narrow country lanes, picturesque cottages. Also, 99% of the locals were nice and friendly. The food was lovely but a little expensive. Our cottage, Waterside Cottage was perfect, great position on the harbour near to everything, clean and well equiped. I have just one complaint - that there was no Tourist Information anywhere in Polperro that I could find, and when we arrived by train in liskeard at about 10.00pm, there were no more buses, and no taxi's anywhere... We had to walk around trying to haul a taxi, which we did after about an hour...
Polperro has a natural beach and is within 50 metres of Waterside. It also boasts a natural rock/tidal swimming pool on the cliffs. Looe is four miles away and has a permanent beach. Talland Bay is along the coast and can accessed by road or by a beautiful 1.5 mile cliff walk. There are many beaches dotted along the coastline some accessible only on foot or by boat but well worth the find. Lantic Bay and Lantivet Beach are amongst these. There are surfing beaches at Newquay one hour's drive.

Fishing - Looe is the home of the Shark angling club of Great Britain, trips can be arranged from the Harbour. River fishing is available with fishing lakes at Shillamill and trout fishing at Sibleyback reservoir.
Boating - half hourly trip run from the harbour during the summer. Looe also has motorboats for hire and speedboat rides to thrill.
Restaurants - Polperro boasts many restaurant's to suit all tastes and pockets from al a carte to traditional fish and chips. Many of the local pubs also provide bar meals. We cannot forget the famous Cornish cream teas which are offered at many of the small cafés and tea rooms.
