Lovely quirky cottage

  • 5 of 5

The cottage itself is overlooking the beautiful harbour of Polperro. It is extremely well furnished and has everything you need for a great stay. the rooms are a good size and the bed very comfortable. We travelled as a group of 4 adults and the four floors gave us plenty of room. The cottage retains many original features. We really enjoyed our stay and would book again without hesitation. Just watch out for the door ways if you are tall!

Picturesque Polperro

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here in last years summer holidays, the price was fantastic for a lovely cottage for a young family of 4.

Though it looks quite small, It is set over 4 floors and gave us all the room we needed. The décor in the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms is nicely done and there are plenty of original features in the comfortable living room.

The cottage is ideally located for exploring Polperro and the costal path going in either direction give fantastic views and walks. If you can't walk there, then Fowey and Looe are only a short car journey away. I would highly recommend this cottage which was great value for money. RT Barnsley.

Breathtaking Holiday

  • 5 of 5

We visited Polperro in Cornwall which is the most beautiful place I have ever been to, images on internet do not do it justice, the reality is much better. I could not have imagined to get better than that.. It had it all -Green hills, fields with animals grazing, the sea crashing against the cliffs, beautiful weather, narrow country lanes, picturesque cottages. Also, 99% of the locals were nice and friendly. The food was lovely but a little expensive. Our cottage, Waterside Cottage was perfect, great position on the harbour near to everything, clean and well equiped. I have just one complaint - that there was no Tourist Information anywhere in Polperro that I could find, and when we arrived by train in liskeard at about 10.00pm, there were no more buses, and no taxi's anywhere... We had to walk around trying to haul a taxi, which we did after about an hour...

Cornish Gem

Just got back from an amazing week at Waterside Cottage. First time we have stayed in Polperro or any Harbour. We usually stay out in the sticks for the peace and quiet but I must be honest this has knocked the spots off everything we have stayed in before! It’s one of the best holiday cottages we have been in....no.....probably the best!

The outside of this property does not tell you a thing about what is on the inside! It’s plain and simple and very unassuming! Once through the door it’s WOW! Straight into a home from home, very comfortable lounge with good quality furnishings not usually found in a rental property! It’s usually just cheap shabby left overs but NOT with this little gem!

Down to the Lower Ground is a small, but perfectly formed kitchen with everything you could need. It has been beautifully renovated with lovely oak units. There is the added bonus of a drop leaf table and chairs which was very handy.

Up a floor to double room and bathroom floor. Beautiful NEW bathroom. SO SPOTLESSLY CLEAN!!!! And the added bonus of a great MIRA shower which was not expected as when we booked it said bath only. This new addition was a godsend with 2 kids!

The double room is small but perfectly formed! Again lovely oak furnishings and VERY comfy memory mattresses. Beautiful, pretty soft furnishings...my favourite retreat!

Now up to top floor/Loft room. MASSIVE twin room. Again very comfy memory mattresses and decorated in a lovely shabby chique/ beach theme that the boys loved. Hardly saw our eldest when in the cottage...this was his little iddle!

Nothing negative I can say about the cottage, simply loved it and wished so much we had booked for two we
