PENCAER is a one bedroom cottage based on a converted barn. All on one floor with double height ceilings adding to the airy ambience. Extremely spacious accommodation with private patio overlooking the coast. Described by one travel writer as "a text book example of how to transform a rural building into luxury accommodation with all the touches you'd expect of a top hotel". Pencaer has its own parking and patio area with the added benefit of access to larger gardens and fields. Ideally located for walking the coast path and for eating at The Shed and The Sloop in Porthgain.
Alison and Jeff - we moved to North Pembrokeshire in 2006, having previously owned a cottage in the area. Prior to moving here, we worked in Swansea and London. The move offered a change of pace - fortunately, we have never felt the need to speed back up since! It is a privilege to live in and welcome guests to this unique corner of Wales. Come and see why for yourselves - you won't regret it.
Jeffrey Morris purchased this cottage in 2007
The property was converted in 2008 - from a derelict farmhouse and barns.
The cottage is in a fantastic private location with superb far reaching views to the coast and Strumble Head beyond. It has it's own private patio but also benefits from larger gardens and 20 acres of fields.
As you drive down the lane to the cottage, you leave your cares behind and enter a haven of peace and tranquillity.
Although private and peaceful, the cottage is within a mile or so of the harbour village of Porthgain, which offers great opportunities for eating (and drinking) at The Sloop and The Shed.
