A very warm reception on arrival from owner Sue, homemade cake and fresh milk and lots of info of places to go and good eateries all of which were very helpful. Lovely neighbours who didn't mind spending time to talk to us about the area. Cottage has all mod con's and kitchen and bathrooms were well fitted and immaculately clean and modern. This was a very well thought out holiday cottage and comes highly recommended to all future guests.

Lovely weekend break

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is located in a pretty village within easy travelling distance to a broad range of popular attractions. The cottage is well equipped, spotlessly clean and nicely furnished. The extra personal touches of a home baked cake, fresh milk & free range eggs were a really nice touch. I cannot recommend the cottage highly enough. We had a lovely weekend break! Thank you. Ian & Elaine

Delightful cottage in a very pretty village

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a weekend and wished we could have stayed longer! From the moment we stepped in the door, we felt very at home. A homemade, delicious cake was awaiting our arrival, along with milk, tea and coffee. The cottage was very clean, well furnished and equipped. The local pub in the village 'The Grapes' was delightful and we had an excellent meal there - highly recommended! 'The Coachman' in the next village was also very good. It was very convenient for touring in the local area, both the Moors and the coastline. We look forward to our next stay in this lovely cottage, when we visit Yorkshire again.

Just had a lovely long weekend at Chapel Cottage. Perfect location for walking and cycling in the lovely Ryedale countryside, with the coast just a short drive away. The cottage itself was clean, cosy and comfortable - couldn't have asked for more!
