Clynderwen Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Cottage in Preseli Hills on Pembrokeshire Carmarthenshire Border, Wales - Peaceful Rural Location Close To Preseli Hills

Recently refurbished, and freshly decorated in 2013, Bluestone cottage has been designed as an eco friendly holiday retreat for two people offering comfortable and stylish accommodation.

In line with our policy of constantly improving the property we have recently built a new fully enclosed porch on the cottage and installed a paved path from the gate to the front door. The cottage has a galleried bedroom, kitchen, open plan living area and bathroom. The cottage is located on a minor rural road, has its own private garden, dedicated parking and a wonderful rural outlook.

We accept weekly or short break bookings with a minimum of 3 nights. Changeover day is Friday for weekly bookings but we are happy to accept short break bookings starting from other days (although this website will not let you do this) so please enquire and we will accommodate you if possible.

Suitability:
  • children welcome

About Brendan Powell

We are Brendan and Ludka Powell and we live next door to Bluestone Cottage with our daughter Nina. Although we are close by, it is our policy not to give you maximum privacy, so you will not see us unless we are invited or if you need us.

We moved to Hebron in 2008 and converted Bluestone Cottage into it's current state in the winter of 2008-9.

As well as running Bluestone Cottage we also look after several holiday homes for their owners and run a busy garden maintenance business.

We started letting Bluestone Cottage as a holiday cottage in 2009 and it has proved very popular because of it's convenient location and quiet peaceful setting.

We look forward to welcoming you to Bluestone Cottage.

Brendan Powell purchased this cottage in 2008

Guestbook comments from the owner

"Thank you for a lovely stay at your beautiful cottage"

"We had a lovely weekend relaxing. After a long drive it was amazing to arrive to Welshcakes and the wood burner already lit. What a welcome! Thank you."

"We were very impressed with both the cottage and the mesmeric surroundings. It was so relaxing to hear the sound of birdsong and the gentle trickle of the stream close by."

"From the moment I walked through the gate and saw the Stone Circle I suspected I would be staying in a loved place. Your care is evident and this has been a delightful, peaceful, cosy place to stay."

"Perfect little cottage! Does what it says on the 'tin' - romantic hideaway for two. Enjoyed every minute. Thank you".

ideal for a chilled break

Clearly a well cared for cottage with all the amenities that extends to include a most effective wood burning stove, and the all important Wi-Fi.The property is cleverly configured with the bedroom located on a balcony that nicely overlooks the ground floor; and for the warmer times, garden space to sit out and enjoy the air. Good location for visiting this wonderful county, its beaches and coastline. Highly recommended.

Lovely cottage, perfect for two people and a dog!

  • 5 of 5

Kate and I arrived here on a Saturday afternoon and can only describe our first impression as 'chuffed'! What a lovely, cosy and well kept little cottage complete with tea and scones on arrival. We were visiting for our first 'child free' holiday with just our dog, Dylan, in tow. We wanted a base in a quiet location to explore the countryside and coast and this cottage fitted the bill and offered great value for money.

If you love coastal walks, lovely beaches and countryside views with pub lunches, tea and buns and the odd bit of shopping then this part of Wales is for you!!

Lovely owners live next door and really do leave you to yourself but take some time to chat with them as they were really helpful in guiding us to some 'must visit' spots.

A lovely week in a beautiful cozy cottage in peaceful surroundings. Made to feel so welcome and with everything we needed. Ideal location to explore the unspoilt area of Wales. We will be back.

Great cottage, lovely location

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is situated in the most beautiful scenery, the views are surreal, the smell of the air, and the sound of the stream creates an atmosphere of absolute peace and serenity. If that is what you are looking for do not look further. The cottage is very comfortable, clean and very well maintained. The best part is lighting the fire place when you come back at the end of the day... Thank you for your hospitality! We will definitely come back!!!

Blue stone Cottage Rocks

  • 5 of 5

After a warm welcome from the owner of the cottage we knew straight away we had made the right choice in booking this holiday.

My wife, husky Tehya and me had the most relaxing time during our two weeks at Bluestone cottage, it was just so peaceful. You would wake up to the sounds of the babbling brook under your window, or the sound of birds chirping in a nearby hedge, and if you were very lucky (as we were) you might even hear and see a buzzard or kite flying past the roof window. The cottage was immaculate. With mod cons in an old property. Loved it, Loved it, Loved it.

If I had to mention the negatives which there really wasn't any I would have to say; take out the dishwasher and install a washing machine. You don't use many dishes and what you do you can wash in a bowl by hand. However, you do wear a lot of clothes so a washing machine would be an added bonus.

So if you are looking for a fantastic place to stay within the rolling hills of beautiful south Wales look no further than Bluestone cottage.

Enjoy, I know we did.
