About Brendan Powell
We are Brendan and Ludka Powell and we live next door to Bluestone Cottage with our daughter Nina and twins Fred and Leila. Although we are close by, it is our policy to give you maximum privacy, so you will not see us unless we are invited or if you need us. We moved to Hebron in 2008 and converted Bluestone Cottage into it's current state in the winter of 2008-9. As well as running Bluestone Cottage we also look after several holiday homes for their owners and run a busy garden maintenance business. We started letting Bluestone Cottage as a holiday cottage in 2009 and it has proved very popular because of it's convenient location and quiet peaceful setting. We look forward to welcoming you to Bluestone Cottage.

Snug Pembrokeshire Escape
A wonderful quirky place to stay with a well equiped kitchen.
The garden is magnificent and whilst you really feel in the middle of nowhere you're only 20 mins to the A40.
The facilities are good with a great powerful shower.
Only issue for me personally was that the bed is incredibly firm. It's impossible to please everyone with these things of course but worth keeping in mind if you prefer a softer matress.
Overall a wonderful place to stay for a couple with a dog.
Spotlessly clean, neat, tidy, comfortable and very peaceful.
We needed an escape where we could have peace and quiet and a complete switch off relax. We got exactly that.
We loved the cottage, full of character and charm, peaceful, comfortable and nice and clean. Lovely owners, the little touches you generally don't get these days were very appreciated... welshcakes on arrival, home made bread and fresh picked raspberries from their own garden were a welcome surprise midweek. The babbling brook is soothing to listen to.
Thank you Brendan and Ludka for a memorable and enjoyable stay.
A gem of a Welsh hide-a-way.
The accommodation has been thoughtfully designed and beautifully executed with care and attention to detail. Everything is clean and good quality and there are helpful notes to ensure its smooth running on ecologically sound principles. The garden is restful with the sound of running water. Brendan and Ludka, with little Nina and the delightful twins are excellent and welcoming hosts.
What a delight
We cannot recommend this lovely cottage highly enough - Brendan and Ludka were so welcoming and we had a fantastic week. The location is perfect for a peaceful break to get away from it all and enjoy the beautiful Welsh countryside. It's a great spot for setting off for walking, cycling and adventures in the National Park - and all across Pembrokeshire. The cottage is clean, cosy and perfect for a night in with a film and food in front of the woodburner. With helpful advice from Brendan and Ludka and friendly locals we met over the course of the week, we got to enjoy the Lily ponds, quiet beaches and a long walk on the South Coast, hilly cycles to St Davids and along the West Coast and a muddy ramble over the Preseli hills and mountains. Not to mention pubs with great beers and lots of character. Thanks for a perfect week! :-)
ideal for a chilled break
Clearly a well cared for cottage with all the amenities that extends to include a most effective wood burning stove, and the all important Wi-Fi.The property is cleverly configured with the bedroom located on a balcony that nicely overlooks the ground floor; and for the warmer times, garden space to sit out and enjoy the air. Good location for visiting this wonderful county, its beaches and coastline. Highly recommended.
Coast/Beach: The nearest beaches are at Poppit Sands (13 miles) and Newport Sands (16 miles). Both are big open sandy beaches with plenty of space even on busy weekends. Distances: The towns of Narberth (11 miles) and Cardigan (12 miles) are just a short drive away and are well worth exploring with lots of interesting shops pubs restaurants and historic places of interest as well as supermarkets, butchers, bakers and other high street shops that you might need. Further Details: There is a small but well stocked supermarket and petrol station at Glandy Cross less than 2 miles from the cottage. There is also a pub in Llanglydwen about 20 minutes walk or a few minutes by car.
