A beautiful, evocative and restful location

  • 5 of 5

We travelled from the UK as a group of 8 by Eurostar to Paris and onwards to Gif by RER; it couldn't have been easier. No doubt we were blessed with exceptional weather for 5 days; nevertheless this turned out to be an absolutely beautiful small estate in a peaceful rural setting. The various properties have been refurbished and fitted out to a very high standard, with all modern conveniences. Situated a pleasant 20 minute walk from the town centre, it is surrounded by forests with well-maintained and marked paths, so is superb for walkers. Bicycles were also available for the use of guests. There are several restaurants in Gif itself and supermarkets nearby for self-catering. The proximity of Gif to central Paris, and easy and quick access by RER, makes it an ideal spot for a relaxing country break, with the option of Paris itself nearby. Strongly recommended.

A perfect week.

  • 5 of 5

We have just had the most amazing week at the The Lodge at Le Moulin de la Tuilerie. From the moment we stepped through the old oak gates until the moment we left.

The property is jaw dropping, beautifully decorated and set in a most delightful courtyard of properties, on the edge of the lovely traditional town of Gif.

Le Moulin de la Tuilerie is in the most private secluded setting, we really didn't want to leave the property, but we did, we took lovely bike rides along the river, woodland walks in the beautiful forest, the bluebells were in full bloom,it was simply beautiful.

We ate at the local restaurants, there are plenty to choose from.

We sat and relaxed in the beautifully manicured gardens, played boules and croquet on the lawn......

Its a hidden gem, lets hope it stays that way.

Wonderful week at beautiful estate

  • 5 of 5

As soon as we stepped out of our car and onto the property, it felt as if we had stepped into a fairy tale. The grounds and buildings on the property are beautiful and tranquil. Our party ranged in age from 10 to 65 and everyone loved staying here, whether wandering the grounds or walking into town. We were happily surprised to find food essentials such as milk, eggs, bread and butter awaiting us, plus our new favorite blue brie cheese and wine. I hope one day we are able to return here...we loved it!

Gif - WOW

  • 5 of 5

I 100% enjoyed my stay with my family at The Lodge in Gif. It is presented beautifully and I had not realised the historical significance of the estate. It was amazing to be able to walk the gardens of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and admire the horses at the Polo Club next door. Will definitely be going back with the girls for a shopping spree in Paris! Gif itself had plenty to offer, a fantastic restaurant in the centre of the village, Le Canapem parks, boulangerie to name a few! Very satisfied! *****
