About Liz and Steve Smith
Having spent many years holidaying in the area with our 2 children we have recently purchased No 2 Polrunny Cottages - Big Pol and Little Pol. Our intention is for families or individuals to enjoy this spectacular part of the Cornish Countryside as much as we do.
Liz and Steve Smith purchased this Barn in 2014
Why Liz and Steve Smith chose Boscastle
Both the properties are located in a very quiet, peaceful rural position with outstanding views over countryside towards the sea. They are positioned up out of the village and have plenty of car parking space. The properties are very well equipped and are decorated to an extremely high standard.
What makes this Barn unique
The spectacular outstanding views have our guests saying 'Wow!' Exceptionally well decorated and equipped A real "home from home" Plenty of Parking Dog Friendly

Delightful 5 nights
What a superb location to Break away from all the negatives in life.
Little pol is well equipped , clean , quite and comfortable.
You will need transport to visit all the wonderful sites in the area, but well worth the trouble specially Boscastle harbour.
Thank you liz and Steve you have really created a fantastic ambiance in this property, well worth a future visit.
Poor weather for 1st time
Unfortunately terrible weather that week but nice to have a rest from work.
Thank you for the review . What a shame the weather was so bad , but we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your rest from work in Little Pol .
So good we have already booked for next year
Very clean fresh and compact
We all had a brilliant stay at little Pol. It’s a lovely property set in beautiful surroundings with a lovely sea view. We were greeted with a little welcome pack of butter, milk, eggs, bread, scones and jam from the local farm shop. The barn was very clean and had all the utensils needed to cook. I didn’t get a phone signal at the property on EE (or many places I’m the area) however the Internet was very good so I just used WhatsApp. You do need a car as the walk to the local pub is down a steep small lane... Boscastle is a quaint little village with shops, cafes, and pubs. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend.
Big time in Little Pol
Comfortable accommodation in a fabulous location.
Great location as a base to explore this stretch of coast. The property has been restored to a high standard with all mod cons including good WiFi.
No hesitation in recommending .

Boscastle Harbour is within 15 / 20 minutes downhill walk. The sandy and surfing beaches at Bossiney Haven, Crackington Haven and Trebarwith Strand are approx 10 minutes drive. Polzeath, the surfers paradise is approx 20 mins drive along with Daymer Bay, Rock and Padstow.
The fabulous South West Coast Path is within easy reach and if you do not wish to use your car buses go to and from Boscastle.
The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are both within driving distance. Tingatel Castle is approximately 5 miles away by car. Padstow with its glorious harbour and many eateries is close by either using the car park at Rock and then the passenger ferry, alternatively you can travel to Padstow by car. Camel Valley Vineyard is another interesting stop for a tour, or you can of course just sample a glass of wine or two!
A few Things to do apart from visiting the beautiful beaches.
*Take afternoon tea at Boscastle Farm Shop overlooking the sea
*Visit King Arthurs Castle at Tintagel
*Cycle along the Camel Trail from Padstow to Wenfordbridge via Wadebridge and *Bodmin or join the trail along the route for a shorter ride. Bikes can be hired from Wadebridge, Padstow and Bodmin.
*Visit Historic Houses such as Prideaux House in Padstow and Lanhydrock House in Bodmin
*Visit Ancient Fishing Villages such as Port Issac, Polperro and Megavissey.
*Take a Ride– there are various stables close by offering horse and pony rides for every ability.
With so much to do in Cornwall it is impossible to list them all, but take the time to explore our fantastic county and enjoy!
