Davarr bungalow is available for adults and young people over 10 years of age. It is suitable for people who are allergic to pets as no pets are allowed in the cottage.

It has been thoughtfully refurbished to blend traditional and modern styles, and offers spacious, superior accommodation, decorated and furnished to a very high standard, including a large sitting room and dining room, fitted kitchen, bathroom with shower over bath and utility room. The property is set on a large corner plot and has enclosed gardens to the front and side and a fully-enclosed patio area to the rear which is ideal for bike storage. The cottage is a short stroll from the local shops, bars, restaurants, beach and other village amenities. Accommodating 4 people in two bedrooms with efficient central heating, this cottage is available for a comfortable stay in any season. The cottage is ideal for two couples holidaying together or a couple holidaying with older parents.

About Judith

We fell in love with Northumberland many years ago and after owning a second home for a number of years we relocated a few years ago.

Why Judith chose Northumberland Coast

We want to provide a lovely second home for our visitors so that you have a really comfortable base to return to after a busy day enjoying our beautiful coastline and rural Northumberland.

It is central to the village so it is convenient for all the local amenities and only a couple of minutes walk to the harbour.

What makes this bungalow unique

We will meet and greet you on the day of your arrival and a courtesy tray with home baked cake/cupcakes.

We live locally so are able to help out with advice on places to eat, visit and are on hand to deal with any problems if they should occur.

Just to say that we had an absolutely wonderful holiday. The bungalow was in all ways excellent - spotlessly clean, comfortable, nicely presented and very well equipped. We loved Seahouses and enjoyed a number of excellent meals in the restaurants and Bamburgh Castle Inn. We had a great time exploring the wonderful area, including Cragside, Holy Island, Bamburgh, Craster and Alnwick. The beaches are simply wonderful. We were made so very welcome by Val and Paddy.

Alnwick Castle and Gardens 13 miles, Howick Hall and Earl Grey Tea Rooms 10 miles, Cragside the first electrically lit house in Britain 30 miles, Chillingham Castle famous for its cattle and ghosts 15 miles, Paxton House 25 miles. Lots to see and do in a week.

Further Details:

Seahouses has a garage/ Londis, Co-op, very good butchers and fruit shop. Other shops sell local produce. We also have Swallows Fisheries ( a favourite haunt of Rick Stein). If eating out we have a number of local pubs serving very good meals, Indian and Italian restaurants, traditional Fish and Chips and a number of cafes. We also have Coxons locally made ice cream.

Notes on accommodation: We feel that the bungalow is ideally suited to couples or two couples holidaying together. It would be ideal for a couple travelling with elderly parents because of its central location and it being on one level. It would also suit a couple with an older child or relative. You can park your car on the drive and leave it as you won't need it in the village. If the house is occupied by a single person or a couple using only one bedroom a discount applies. Sorry we don't allow children under 13. No pets Outside: The bungalow is situated on a large corner plot. It is paved or pebbled, has shrubbery and a hedge at one side for seclusion. There is also a fully enclosed paved/patio area to the rear which is an ideal spot for bikes or a mobility scooter. Utility Room: Washer, freezer, ironing facilities. Storage for wet boots and coats. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The bungalow is cleaned thoroughly between lets. All towels, linen, bath mats, tea towels and kitchen cloths are included. As are washing up/ cleaning materials. Other: Dining Room with seating for 6 if you have friends staying in nearby accommodation or visiting for the day. Entrance porch for outdoor clothing.
