Decorated and furnished with quality and elegance, the interiors have high standards of furnishings, appliances, and finishings.

The villa is over 500 sqm, with a total of 8 double bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. It is divided into two independant but internally connected units, so ideal for families travelling together.

The "main house" is on the first and second floors, and consists of 5 double bedrooms (4 have a lake view). All of the bedrooms have big windows with lots of light, excellent furnishings, mattresses, and linens. There are four full luxury bathrooms on the second floor. 1 of the bathrooms has a full sized bathtub, and the other three have shower cabinets.

The dining room / living room area of the main house is breathtaking, very large open space, it is bright and airy, flanked by windows on three sides, and glass doors to terraces on two sides. The dining table seats 8+, and the designer sitting area seats 8-10 on 3 sofas.

The furnishings are all high level designer and antique luxury items, and the finishes marble and wonderful inlaid parquet. The floors are dressed with beautiful and precious carpets, giving warmth, colour, and comfort to the large open space. The living area has terraces (furnished, with tables for outdoor eating and chairs for relaxing) with a lake view flanking 2 sides of the room. And on this floor there is also a small day-area bathroom, toilet and sink, finished in marble tiling.

In the lounge you will find a TV with digital cable as well as full SKY satellite channels, with programming available in multiple languages.

Down the stairs to the ground floor, and there is the second unit, a complete apartment with 3 double bedrooms with air conditioning and luxury ensuite bathrooms (with shower cabinets) for each bedroom. The downstairs kitchen is large and fully equipped country style kitchen (table seats 8-10) with fireplace, and sitting room with glass doors onto the garden. There is a laundry room on the ground floor, with washing machine and tumble drier.

Outside and into the garden, and there is a large covered porch with dining table and chairs enough for everyone, perfect for barbecues. A few meters away is the private swimming pool fully equipped with sun loungers, umbrellas and pool furnishings. For extra family fun, there is a table football (fuzzball) game as well as a soccer net on the upper playing fields in the garden, and a fitness area with various gym equipment in the garage.

The villa is equipped with TV with digital cable, SKY satellite TV with full account (including sports, cinema, kids, etc) as well as wifi internet with an ADSL fixed internet connection.

There is ample outdoor parking, within the security gates, for up to 4 cars. Air Conditioning in the downstairs bedrooms, and fans in the upstairs bedrooms.

The villa is located in a beautiful spot, in a dominant position in the hills above Salò. It is very close to the small villages of both Trobiolo and Volciano, each with some services, bar, restaurant. It is also easy walking distance to the services in Campoverde of Salò, bakery, restaurant and pizzeria, some small shops. A bit farther, under 2km, and you are in the heart of downtown Salò. Salò is a beautiful and historic city, with the longest waterfront promenade in all of Italy. Filled with designer shops and hip bars, live music and events, museums and cultural points of interest, and a wealth of fantastic restaurants, osterie, and pizzerias. Lovely villa in a lovely location

  • 5 of 5

We were a group of three families with six children. The villa was lovely and perfect for what we required. The pool is fantastic, our children did not want to ,eave the villa!! The outside eating area is also a great area and having a kitchen next to it was ideal. Novella helped us promptly with anything we required. A car would have been useful but we did manage without, I recommend a visit to the small bakery which is a short walk towards Salo. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone and will probably be returning one day.

The most beautiful location. Our family holiday was amazing from start to finish. The villa was fantastic the views breathtaking the bells chiming in the distance added to the tranquillity. So much fun and laughter in the pool. The kids had so much fun as did everyone. The boat trip on the lake, the visit to Garda Land visits to towns all amazing. It was like having a dream you never wanted to wake up from so beautiful. We had so much fun and so many memories we will cherish forever. Thank you Christina for organising our food and drinks on arrival. Villa Mimosa is a very special place and the memories will stay in our hearts forever.

A Wonderful house with a great view.

  • 5 of 5

We were 10 friends (5 couples) who stayed in Villa Mimosa for one week in June. We had a fantastic holiday in this wonderful house which is even more beautiful than on the pictures in their website. The house and its surroundings are extremely comfortable in every aspects. Novella is very friendly, patient and helpful f.ex. by providing a large vehicle or the great cook Ubaldo Zambelli who came and cooked gourmet meals for us four times. I highly recommend this house for a luxurious holiday for a reasonable price.

A wonderful spot for a holiday, Salò is the perfect balance between small town and city. It has characteristic cobblestone streets and beautiful old world architecture, with everything in easy walking distance. And it also has all the services and entertainments you expect in a city, including theatre, museum, historic sights, restaurants, bars, shops and supermarkets and more. Its lake front promenade is purported to be the longest in Italy, and you can stroll along the lake with beaches to one side and side walk cafés, restaurants, bars and delightful small shops to the other.

Salò was founded during the Roman era with the name Pagus Salodium. It is not certain how the town got its name but one theory is that it was named after Salodia, an Etruscan Queen who lived here. In the Middles Ages, the town became a stronghold of the powerful Visconti family from Milan. In 1440, after a long war, Salò join the "Magnifica Patria" and fell under the rule of the Venetian Republic. In 1560, Salò was eventually bestowed with the honorary title of 'city by royal decree'.

Historical sites include:

- The Duomo di Santa Maria Annunziata (cathedral), rebuilt in late Gothic style in the 15th century. It has a noteworthy Renaissance portal by Gasparo Cairano and Antonio Mangiacavalli, paintings by Zenone Veronese (16th century), a Polyptych of Paolo Veneziano's school and a Madonna and Saints by Romanino.

- The Palazzo della Magnifica Patria (16th century). The palace is home to the Historical Museum of the Azure Ribbon, an exhibition of documents on Renaissance history, on Italy's colonial wars, the Spanish Civil War and the Resistance against Fascism.

- The Communal Palace is the seat of the Civic Archaeological Museum, with findings from the ancient Salodium.

During the Second World War, from 1943 to 1945, the town was the base of the Republic of Salò from where Mussolini’s party ruled. This was a puppet state of Nazi Germany during Mussolini’s last years of decline, and after the Allied invasion he had no real powers over the rest of the country. The official title of the government of the Salò Republic was the "Italian Social Republic".
