Lovely property

Just got back from our stay in the property. We loved it. The owner is very pleasant and called in on our first evening to check if everything was ok. It was very well equipped, warm and cosy. Wished we could have stayed longer and will hopefully return in the future.

Great break away.

we had a three day break in Long Marton; the accommodation is wonderful, beautifully furnished with a secure garden for the two dogs. A great base to explore some great villages and gorgeous scenery. I'd recommend Orton; great chocolate shop with cafe. Penrith and Appleby worth a visit as well as Larch Cottage at Melkinthorpe. A very welcoming pub in Long Marton, The Mason's Arms and The Stag at Dufton.

Beautiful property in a quiet location

The owner was extremely helpful and pleasant. The local pub is very close and the locals and bar staff were lovely and welcoming. A great location to explore from and lots of comfort to come back to. Would visit again.

Peaceful and comfortable

Lovely place , peacful area. Not far to Appleby and Penrith. Barn is a good size , loved the log fire. Arrived to a bottle of wine and some logs / coal for the fire. Log fire was on , very cosy. Kitchen has everything you need x would come back again.

A Beautiful, Comfortable, Spacoius Cottage

My husband and I, along with another couple and their 2 dogs, spent 3 nights at this lovely cottage which is fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay.

On entering the property, we immediately found it to be spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. There was a bottle of wine with glasses left on the dining table, ready for us to enjoy and the wood burner was already on, along with the central heating so the cottage was lovely and warm.

The property is very spacious, with a large living/dining room with comfy leather sofas and a huge TV. There is a large, well equipped dining/kitchen with a separate utility room.

All of the lower level floors are tiled or laminate flooring so are easy to keep clean.

The upper floor is very spacious too, with carpeted bedrooms that are light and they have very comfortable beds. The double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and the twin bedroom is next door to the family bathroom.

All bed linens and towels/t-towels were supplied for our stay.

Kenton called in to greet us in the evening and offered advice on the heating controls etc., then left us to our own devices for the rest of our stay, with instructions to contact him via his mobile, should we need anything.

There is a lovely village pub literally 20 yards from the cottage, which sells real ales and serves great food in large portions. The owner and the staff were lovely and very attentive and the locals were extremely friendly and welcomed us too.

This property is a credit to the owners and I am delighted I discovered it.

I would definitely love to stay here again and would recommend this beautiful property to anyone who is looking for a quiet base to stay while exploring the Lake District and other surrounding areas.
