Perfect seaside retreat! Close to everything..a real find!
Know Scarborough well and chose this cottage as is located in a fab position for access to both bays. We went to a concert at the open air theatre which is only a 10 min walk away on north bay, and if heading to town/south bay this is only a five minute walk! The cottage is beautifully presented and super clean. Everything that you could need for a cottage stay was there. The cottage is up on the hill near St Mary’s church and the views from the upstairs rooms in the cottage were amazing..all across south bay. Yet while in the cottage the area is lovely and quiet so you feel a million miles from the amusement arcades! Finding a parking space outside wasnt a problem..we had a two day permit for our stay and we got a space just round the corner no probs and didnt touch the car till we left as everything was in walking distance! As i said the cottage was immaculate, with super comfy sofas and beds. My two girls loved being on the top floor in their own little space with a view! Now we have found ‘Seaview Cottage’ we will definitely be back. Its perfect!!
A good stay and good location
We enjoyed this stay at this cottage and would recommend it to friends and family . Only one comment is that it would be better to supply bin bags for the rubbish but all in all everything ok .
Lovely clean property
Lovely property will definitely return.
Great location and value
Seaview cottage was cosy and nicely presented, we had a great few days marching the bays. The only reason it’s not a five star is that we didn’t sleep brilliantly, but I think that’s because we’re used to blackout curtains so we found it a bit light. Regardless we would choose the cottage again if we were looking to stay in Scarborough again.
great place to stay
Lovely cottage, had everything we needed. Very central to beach and town centre. We loved taking the dog up to the churchyard in the morning, beautiful views. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Property is very clean and comfortable. Thankyou for a lovely stay over the new year.
So pleased you had a lovely stay and look forward to seeing you again.

Coast/Beach: 5 minutes walk to South Bay beach. There are two beaches within walking distance of Seaview. The North bay is fairly quiet with its rockier geology. Most flock to the south bay where the beach enjoys a large sandy bay with good facilities and child friendly amenities. You can also enjoy an old-fashioned donkey ride on the beach which always proves popular with young families. All this and an award for its water quality means this area is a one of the most visited in Yorkshire. Travel: 70 miles from Leeds Bradford International Airport. 1 mile from Scarborough Railway Station. Car hire or use is not essential. Distances: 5 minutes walk to town centre; 15 minute walk to Sea Life Centre and Marine Sanctuary; 2 minute walk to Scarborough Castle; 5 minute walk to Stephen Joseph Theatre; Whitby 19 miles; and York 40 miles. Further Details: Scarborough has everything you should need to have an enjoyable holiday to remember.
