A beautiful villa that has something for everyone…

Imagine a large beautiful white villa in the Algarve, bathed in sunlight around a tranquil heated pool. You can wander round the enclosed grounds and gardens to find a shady spot and perhaps pluck a lemon from one of the lemon trees for your G&T that you’ll have at sunset on the roof terrace, listening to your favourite tunes, whilst taking in the stunning sea views and mountains.

Maybe you are there with your loved ones or friends, enjoying a barbeque by the pool or finding your own quiet space on one of the several terraces and seating areas.

Perhaps in the evening you’ll take a stroll down to the town to decide which fabulous restaurant to eat in, whilst deciding what do to next day. Shall you play golf at one of the nearby clubs or nip to the tennis club and spa. Or maybe the kids will want to go to one of the waterparks, if you can get them off the Xbox in the villa.

Vila Eira Dos Moinhos is a gorgeous traditional villa with a 10m x 5m private pool (which can be heated for an additional £150 per week), set in a large mature garden with orange, lemon and palm trees, in walled grounds.

The house, in a quiet residential area of Carvoiero, is designed for total relaxation, privacy and enjoyment for couples, families of all ages or friends holidaying together.

Set within well-tended grounds with mature shrubs, striking palms and cacti, its peaceful location is also ideal for those wishing to be close to restaurants, local shops and a mere twenty-minute walk from several beaches, or just a few minutes drive. The local golf course is just 1 mile away.

The large grounds provide plenty of space for everyone and be able to maintain privacy. The large driveway to the front is enclosed by electric gates, with plenty of parking for several cars. There are orange and lemon trees as well as herbs for those wanting to avail themselves.

The stunning pool is undoubtedly a highlight and can be enjoyed during the day and at night with the recently installed mood lighting.

For little ones, there are gates provided for peace of mind, which can be utilised around the pool area as well as the villa grounds enclosed by walls with electric gates to the front.

The interior of the villa is traditional with contemporary touches such as a Dolce Gusto coffee machine in the kitchen.

From the kitchen, the dining area has views looking across the valley towards the mountains. There are also patio doors to the internal courtyard, for some al fresco dining, where there is a built in BBQ, table and chairs and stairs leading up to the roof terrace. There is also a small outdoor fridge to keep drinks cool in the sun, so you don’t have to keep going back to the kitchen.

The roof terrace has recently been refurbished and boasts panoramic sea and mountain views. It’s the perfect spot for sundowners, overlooking the sun-drenched pool and gardens.

There are several areas for outside dining: by the pool area are 2 large seating areas, one covered for those wanting shade to enjoy meals, whilst keeping an eye on the kids in the pool. Adjacent to these seating areas is another BBQ area.

The ground floor is flooded with light through the sets of patio doors which open onto the internal courtyard and another overlooking the pool. In the living area, you’ll find a flat screen TV with full selection of English channels, DVD player leather sofas to sink into after an action-packed day…or a day lounging at the beach or pool. One of the sofas can be converted into a bed, so if there are 8 people in your party, we can accommodate the extra 2 guests for a small additional daily rate.

Each of the bedrooms have doors opening onto terraces overlooking the pool. The master bedroom opens onto a terrace with its own dining area and the other bedrooms’ terrace also have their own table and chairs.

Carvoeiro has a wide selection of bars and a large variety of shops and restaurants, which are found within easy walking distance of the villa.

There are several beaches in walking distance:

Carvoeiro beach with lovely golden sands and dramatic cliffs.

Praia do Carvalho, a stunning, small, sheltered beach, accessed via a tunnel with a beautiful view of a stack in the sea, it lile a smuggler’s cove.

There are some great features to this beach, the entrance in is amazing and there is also a small room carved into an area to the left of the steps. Kids love it!

Vale Centianes is the beach that the locals in Carvoeiro come to.

Being the closest large beach to Carvoeiro and within walking distance, it’s a good alternative to the beach in the centre of town.

The facilities here are very good with the beach activities, restaurant and concessions all being run well and available throughout the summer months.

One of our favourite beaches, Praia da Marinha, is a short drive away.

This beach has been voted as one of the most beautiful in the world and from the moment you step out of the car you can see why.

Wind your way down the pretty step pathway to the beach itself which has incredible views of the stacks out to sea.

Because it is award winning, the beach is very popular, especially in the high season but don't let this put you off as there is plenty of space for everyone at high tide with a small beach area in front of the restaurant and a larger area that can be accessed at lower tide times round to the right.

This is a lovely, family-friendly part of the glorious Algarve coast and in Vila Eira Dos Moinhos, you are guaranteed a perfect holiday home from which to enjoy it.

Faro airport is only 45 minutes away by car. Airport transfer and car hire can be arranged upon request.

** We have noticed that airlines flying to Faro seem to have put their flight prices up if arriving and departing on a Saturday, so if you can find a better deal arriving and departing on a Sunday, then please get in touch, and we should hopefully be able to accommodate you.

What a fantastic villa!

My husband and I have just returned home after a month spent in this beautiful, peaceful villa. The extensive grounds make for total privacy, and views from the roof terrace are breathtaking. The pool was kept at a great temperature for us, throughout our stay. The villa itself, as other comments I've read, was indeed like a home-from-home. Very well equipt, good WiFi, and a super-comfy bed in the master bedroom. So many different areas to sit at outside, although we spent the majority of our time in the beautiful pool. It's a very pleasant, downhill, 20 minute walk into 'town' and return taxis are €5-6. We couldn't have asked for a better holiday, and certainly hope to return. All communications with Doug, the owner, were prompt and very accommodating. Loved it here !

Great Villa, home from home

We had a week in Eira Dos Moinhos and loved it. Great villa, well appointed and felt like a home from home. The little touches we had - the welcome pack, coffee machine, local info all made it very welcoming. We had the pool heated and it was the best heated pool in a villa we have had. The lighting in the pool was great and the roof terrace and views spectacular.

Prachtig vrij gelegen villa met heerlijk (verwarmd) zwembad

Villa met genoeg ruimte en privacy en op het dak uitzicht over de omgeving. Heerlijke plekjes om te zitten (beschut en onbeschut). Het verwarmde zwembad incl. verlichting is het pareltje van het huis. Van binnen is het huis prima, niet modern, maar voorzien van alle gemakken.

Family stay at Carvoeiro

Our first time in Portugal, and we had a really enjoyable 10 day stay in Carvoeiro. The villa is in a quiet area and is about 20 minutes walk from Carveoiro town, which is a lovely small town with loads of bars & restaurants, a picturesque beach. The pool was heated, so we spent loads of time there. There were 7 in our party (4 adults and 3 kids), and the villa was a perfect size for us. We found Doug (owner) a pleasure to deal with, and when we had a problem with the heater on the pool, Cliff (the property manager) got it sorted with the minimum of fuss.

We hope to be back again soon

Lovely villa with great views!

We really enjoyed our stay at this villa. The views are fantastic from the roof terrace and there are so many places to sit and enjoy the sunshine/shade outside. The pool is great and a good size - we used it a lot and were pleased to have paid the extra for the heating at this time of year. The inside of the villa is nice but we did not actually spend that much time indoors as the weather was so good and we were often in the pool in the evening. The villa is in a good position, with not far to travel to the shop and for some excellent places/beaches to visit nearby. Thank you.

There are several beaches close by. The main beach Carvoeiro, is a golden sandy cove surrounded by cliffs, with flat access for young and old. Jet skis, water sports equipment, boat trips to the caves, sunbeds and parasols can be hired here. Cafes and restaurants are a few steps away, for refreshments.

The closest beach (about 1.5 kilometres) is Centianes, which has a cafe/restaurant and watersport facilities.

Benagil and Marinha beaches are a short drive away (about 3 miles)

A non-returnable reservation fee of 25%,subject to a minimum of £250, will be required on booking. The balance will be required 2 calendar months prior to guests arrival. A returnable breakages and damage deposit of £200 or Euro equivalent is required.

I can now accept credit card payments, for an extra fee of 3%.

Changeover Day:
Change over days are flexible and dependent on other existing bookings ,other days may be available especially in lower season. Keys will be made available at the villa on arrival.

Notes on prices:
Prices are quoted for the property per week in Sterling and includes air-conditioning in the Summer. Electricity may be charged extra in the winter.
£150 extra will be charged to heat the pool during the May-September period.

Golf clubs can be hired for an additional £25 per week.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
