Built in 1790, this bright and sunny quirky styled house is full of charm and original artwork. 4 double bedrooms, sleeps 8 comfortably - 3 kingsize (can be 2 single) and 1 double. Quality towels and bed linen. Lounge, separate dining room, bathroom & separate shower room. Sunny secure walled garden

There are three king size double beds - ALL of which are zip-link giving the option of SIX single beds, and a fourth double bed. (So no uncomfortable sofa bed). Quality pure cotton 400tc white bed linen and towels are provided. There is a bathroom with bath and shower above, and an additional shower room with luxury two man shower shower , both with WC. There are two reception rooms, a living room with flat screen television, DVD player, Ipod dock and large leather sofas. The dining room also has flat screen television and dvd, and a table seating 10 people. The kitchen is well appointed with dishwasher, microwave, oven ceramic hob, washing machine and separate dryer. The kitchen leads out to a pretty walled garden which can also be accessed by steps from the hall.

I am a painter and sculptor living in Brighton, just a couple of doors from The Artist House.I have owned the house for about 12 years and have spent 6 months renovating it .Now it is well appointed, bright and sunny, and filled with art work which will be constantly changing. You will also find books and information about the history of Kemptown which is an interesting area with a colourful past!

I have lived in this area of Brighton for 25 years and I would not live anywhere else. I am on the beach every day with my dog. Everthing you could want is nearby = shops, restaurants, clubs and bars and theatres.

Great house in central Brighton, 2 mins walk to famous pier. Fun, modern decor and amazing art. We loved this place!



Romany made us feel very welcome. The house was just as the listing described. It was very centrally located to everything we needed and wanted to see, it accommodated 8 of us perfectly. We were in Brighton for our sons wedding and everything was lovely. We can't wait to return to Brighton and will be sure and stay at The Artist house again. Loved your artwork. Couldn't recommend Romany enough - over and beyond! Great communication throughout - extremely friendly welcome and fantastic host overall. He had a welcome pack for our Pride weekend with food, drink, rainbow flags and passes to the street party...all on the house and greatly appreciated. The house is gorgeous and in an excellent location close to the city centre and Brighton Pier. Beds are divinely comfortable and the whole place felt like home while we were there. Romany was a big part in making out first Brighton Pride an amazing and memorbale weekend. We felt very lucky and we'll be back!

The house is no smoking, however smoking is allowed in the garden. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and bed Linen: Fluffy white towels and pure white cotton bed linen is included. Other: Dining Room The dining room leads of the kitchen and has a large oak table that seats 10, and can be extended to seat 14! There is a large flat screen TV, DVD player and games and books. A fire exit door leads to steps to the street.

Lovely house very close to the centre of Brighton

We booked the house for a 50th Birthday and Girls weekend. The house was well equipped and comfortably furnished. A couple of the bedrooms were quite small but it was great to get a 4 bedroomed house for the price. The bedding and towels were all of a high standard and beds very comfortable. The art on the walls was spectacular and made the house feel very homely. The stairs to the kitchen were a bit tatty and the kitchen wasn't quite spotless. These points alongside having a few broken lights just stopped the house from being 5 star. Having said that the house was good value for money, great location and very comfortable. I would definitely recommend it for weekend stay.

Great property great loaction easy access to all of Brighton

We were 4 couples Staying at this propoerty for a long weekend beginning of Oct 2017, great location close to beach and lanes etc in Brighton. Property it is full of character, beds very comfy, we all slept well and there was plenty of room in lounge and dinning room for a large group to relax. Property is well equipped with good size kitchen, and 2 recently renovated bathrooms, all very clean. I recommend this property to anyone looking for a holiday property to rent in Brighton.

Great Location

Great location, comfy beds. Very well equipped kitchen. Four of us enjoyed 3 nights midweek, surprisingly peaceful area yet easy walking distance to the beach, lots of cafes, Brighton Pavillion & so much more.

Perfect location!

The location couldn’t be better: it’s close to the seafront, shops, supermarkets, the Laines, Pavilion, station, busses etc., yet in a quiet street. It’s a lovely old house with a well-equipped modern kitchen and bathrooms, and very comfortable beds. We spent Christmas/New Year at The Artist House with our children and young grandchildren and had a wonderful time. When 4 family members who live in Brighton joined us for meals the dining room table was large enough and there were sufficient chairs to accommodate us all. The owner is extremely friendly, helpful and within easy reach if needed. We arrived to find a large, decorated Christmas tree in the living room and a smaller one in the dining room, plus a Christmas cake, bubbly, fruit, coffee, tea, milk etc. I can highly recommend The Artist House. NB the house has 4 floors, so it’s not suitable for people with mobility issues.

Quirky, characterful, unique house in convenient location to enjoy all that Brighton has to offer

Lovely house with bags of room with an eclectic mix of fantastic art and decorative objects and welcoming feel. With 4 children between 7 and 14, the house provided plenty of space for them to hide away in their own space thanks to the excellent IT connectivity and multiple TVs, and (almost) a bedroom each! Room also for mum and dad to relax in peace in the tastefully decorated lounge and very comfortable sofas, or in the quiet and secluded rear garden.

Beds are great, and very comfortable, making it easy to drift off to sleep after a full dose of 'ozone' along the promenade. Location is very convenient with everything you could need within easy walking distance.

Can thoroughly recommend - thanks Romany!
