Blue Downs-View is a smart Victorian townhouse less than 5 minutes walk from Ventnor 's blue flag beach and spectacular coastline. The property is modern and well equipped and has wi-fi and Sky television. Downstairs there is a lounge/diner with seating for 6 and a separate kitchen/breakfast room. Modern kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge freezer and television. Three tastefully decorated bedrooms. The main bedroom has a three piece en-suite shower room. The family bathroom has a bath and separate shower. Property has lovely views of the Ventnor Downs to the front and partial sea views from the rear. Decor throughout is light and neutral. Garage available for an average sized family saloon. There is a small sunny but private courtyard garden to the rear of the property with patio furniture and bar-b-que. The town centre is about a minutes walk away.

Ventnor is a surprisingly little known jewel on England's coastline with smart restaurants and bars many with locally caught seafood as a speciality, beautiful crescent shaped beach overlooked by smart villas and houses and stunning coastal walks.

About Louise Hurd

Louise and I come from professional backgrounds ( teacher and criminal barrister respectively). We have managed Blue Downs view as a holiday let for the last 12 years. For the last 10 years ran our own successful letting and estate agency in Kettering and Wellingborough.

We loved the property's proximity to the town centre and the beach. The property itself appealed to us because of the blend of its character a blend of Victorian architecture (with high ceilings and bay windows) and modernity. Lovely views of the Ventnor downs and the town from the front and side. Amazing coastal walks to the East and the West. The pretty town of Ventnor with its shops, cafes , restaurants, bars and beach is on your doorstep!

It is on three floors so may not be suitable for those who have difficulty in climbing stairs. Property is not suitable for wheelchair users. There is a garage which is a minute's walk from the property suitable for an average sized family saloon car. For guests with larger vehicles or more than 1 car inexpensive permits can be purchased from the Isle of Wight Council on 01983 823714. There are a number of safe car parks within 100 radius of the property. Outside: Small south facing courtyard garden with patio tables, chairs, parasols and bar b cue. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Property is cleaned and linen provided before each new arrival. PLEASE NOTE - TOWELS ARE NOT PROVIDED.                                                               House was nice & spacious for the 5 of us. Had everything we needed. Some difficulties using front door key to start with - might be useful to advise folk not used to this type of lock. Nice sun trap courtyard.

                                                              This really is a lovely Victorian townhouse that is well maintained and has everything you would possibly need for a holiday.

                                                              The house is also in a great location for the beach at Ventnor and all major routes to the sights and attraction on the rest of the Island.

                                                              Great property which was the perfect size for our family of 6. Fabulous location too being just off Ventnor high street! Owner very helpful and answered all our queries promptly. Only negative was that we learnt AFTER booking that we were expected to leave the property in a 'clean' state' or face having money deducted from our deposit!! Added a bit of stress to our final day..... shouldn't have to clean on holiday!!

                                                              We stayed for a long weekend in September and loved that we could each have our own bedroom. The villa is within minutes of shops and eating places. On a bus route if you don't want to bring the car.

                                                              Well decorated and very light.

                                                              The curtains were annoying as many of the hooks had jumped out of the rings making them difficult to shut but that was the only minor annoyance.

                                                              We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property.

                                                              Coast/Beach: Ventnor beach is less than a 3 minute walk from the property Distances: The attractive towns and villages and beautiful beaches on the island are all within easy reach (the Island is approximately 23 miles across and 12 miles deep). There is an abundance of places to visit and things to do. Further Details: The property is on the edge of the town centre (literally a 60 second walk) and thus local supermarkets, bars and restaurants are all within very easy reach

                                                              Changeover Day: Change over days are Saturdays. First day arrival from 3 p.m. and departure by 10.00 a.m. on morning of departure. Notes on prices: Min stay 3 nights except during summer season (11/01/14 -29/08/14 ) when minimum stay is 1 week. Cost of 3 day stay is calculated at 5/7's of the price for a week during the period in question for extra days beyond 3 days but less than 7 contact the owner.
