Ideal for families looking for versatile, comfortable accommodation. This property has been lovingly converted from a former 19th century stable block. It's relaxed open plan feel is complimented by beautiful brickwork, wooden floors and not forgetting stunning views from the property. The property also benefits from a heated pool if you're in the mood for a dip! The cottage is fully equipped and has oil fired central heating, which can be supplemented with a large wood burning stove.
We had a really good time in/around Nottingham and at Mr Baggaley's. With some good conversations we felt immediately like home there. Not to forget highly recommendable meals at the Windmill!
Thank you very much again for making our journey so convenient.
We expected the cottages to be nice from the pictures and description but we were even more impressed on arrival the accommodation and setting was stunning. We had stayed at the cottages with 2 other couples and a baby; the place had ample space for us all and great social and communal area. The pool was warm (7 month old baby happy to be in for over half hourand) the hot tub was fab to relax in over night. We had come down for an event at the national water sports center but would love to come back again and explore the area more and we passed through some lovely villages. Alan the owner lives in the cottage next door and couldn't have been more helpful, a really friendly guy. Thanks so much for an excellent stay we hope to come back sometime.
We stayed in both cottages and I would like to say the photos online don't do the cottages any justice. They were finished to a very high standard and kept clean, you could see the properties were well maintained and they both had all you would ever need. They were a home from home. We had full access to the heated pool and jacuzzi which were very well maintained on a daily basis. A very quiet place to visit with amazing views and we will be back again!!!
Lovely break away. The accommodation suited our needs brilliantly and the host couldn't of done more to make our stay enjoyable. A lovely situation with peace and tranquility. We would definitely return.
A truly impressive conversion finished to a high standard. We rented the larger of the two, 2 bedrooms - master and twin with sofa bed in living-room (separate areas for kids). Lovely, clean, warm and well equipped. We were greeted by the owner and shown around (I enjoyed several conversations with him over the week, fascinating man :o)) Flowers on table and 'Easter chocolate' for kids. The new washing machine and tumble drier hadn't quite been plumbed in but arrangements were made to use same in the owners house next door, nothing was too much trouble. The beds were really comfortable, the shower large, the bath even bigger... As were the sky's, you are in farm land, its quiet and views are great.
I have no hesitation in recommending this property. It was a great base, 20 mins to Nottingham and easy access to Lincoln etc. We WILL return when we are next in the area.
We thought the property was lovely , the main living area was quite large and was clean and well equipped. We had a very comfortable stay, the Bathroom had a big walk in shower it was clean and a nice looking room as was the Bedroom. We stayed in Stable Cottage and would highly recommend it. The owner was friendly and very helpful he had left a bottle of wine and there was tea coffee and milk and basic essentials. We would definitely go back.
