Wight Lodge is a detached holiday home in a peaceful location and just a five minute walk to the unspoilt beach of Seagrove Bay, Wight Lodge has great sea views from most of the main rooms.
Seagrove Bay has the traditional seaside holiday pastimes of swimming, boating and rock pool exploring at low tide for all the family to enjoy.
The historic Edwardian village centre of Seaview, with its independent shops, sailing club and restaurants is within a short stroll. There is now a very well stocked Community Shop in Seaview which is run by local residents on a voluntary basis - it has all the everyday essentials and sells newspapers, etc. as well.
Wight Lodge has three bedrooms plus a room with a sofa bed and is spacious, light and airy - many holidaymakers return year after year to Wight Lodge which is a testament to how good a holiday home it is.
There is a well equipped fitted kitchen with an electric cooker, gas hob and a fridge freezer. A washing machine is also provided in the separate utility room.
The sitting room has very good sea views and it is furnished with comfortable sofas and armchairs, along with a TV with Freeview and DVD player (some DVDs provided) The patio doors lead to a balcony with outdoor seating, where boats, shipping and cruise ships leaving Portsmouth and Southampton can be observed.
There is a separate dining room, also with sea views.
Wight Lodge also has a large secure, well maintained garden with a barbecue and an outside dining area.
Their is one double bedroom which has an ensuite shower with wash basin and wc, a twin bedded room with vanity sink unit, and na third bedroom with bunk beds.
In addition there is a room leading off the twin room which has a double sofa bed and would comfortably accommodate a travel cot. There is a bathroom with a bath, shower over the bath, basin and W.C.
Fresh linen and towels are included.
The property gave us as a family of 6 lots of space. The facilities were good, and we appreciated the playroom with games for the children. There were also a good selection of DVDs. Local information was good. It was a short walk down to a lovely quiet beach, which we all enjoyed on several occasions. Everitt Family, 31st August 2017
