About Robert Hordley

We are Karen and Rob and live here in Pembrokeshire on our 8 acre smallholding. Karen teaches at a local Primary School, whilst Rob is a retired teacher working for the local authority on their educational platform. We have one son and daughter, who have now gone their separate ways, one in Motor Sports Engineering the other a Graphic Designer.

We love the outdoors that Pembrokeshire offers, walking the dog, a border collie call Bramble, along the Coast Path, on the beach or up the mountains.

Our main passions - the garden, classic cars and Pembrokeshire.

We moved to Pembrokeshire from Shropshire, via Oxfordshire, following Robs' career path in education. We were fortunate to be able to purchase such a beautiful Farm House which is set in 8 acres of countryside on the outskirts of Haverfordwest. Yet the town and its facilities are only a few minutes away.

Centrally located within the County means that we can visit all areas of Pembrokeshire, from the Preseli Hills in the North, St Davids in the North West, the surfing beaches to the West and the popular holiday resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot to the South.

What makes this farmhouse unique

Located at the end of a private lane and with a very large garden, wood, fields, stream and pond we can offer our guest a relaxing hideaway holiday, yet for those more adventurous of you then the sights and delights of Pembrokeshire are only a few minutes away. Sailing on the river, golf course (10 minutes away), beaches, coastal walks, trips to the Islands etc - well come and find out for yourself. You will be more than welcome.

Further Details:

At the end of the private lane there is the hamlet of Pendergast. This has a tradition butchers shop, store, Chinese take-away, hair dresser, florist, Fish and Chip shop, traditional sweet shop and a laundrette.

Just a little further we have Morrisons, M&S, Laura Ashley, Debenhams, Boots, Next, Halfords and Homebase.

In town there are a wide range of stores from a 24 hour Tesco to bespoke local shops, not to mention the Farmers Market every Friday in the Riverside Centre.

Notes on accommodation: The Farm provides two units; The Coach House (Unit 1) sleeps 2 and is on the ground floor. The Farm House (Unit 2) sleeps 6 and is located on the ground and first floors. Both units retain their traditional cottage/farmhouse feel and have been modernised to a high standard. Guests are free to roam around the 10 acres of grounds and enjoy the gardens, stream and pond side side walks.The owners will be on site within a separate dwelling, to welcome you and help with any queries or recommendations locally. Outside: The extensive gardens have lawned areas, flower and vegetable beds, fruit bushes and trees, various patios and seating areas, together with a BBQ. Walk through the gardens to the wood, stroll by the stream, picnic by the pond or look for fossils in our SSSI site. There is storage for cycles.
