Situated in Saint Brice de Landelles, a village with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, Le Haut Champ gîte is a converted barn dating from the 19th century and is full of character with modern conveniences. It is set in a tranquil location with stunning views of the local countryside yet close to historic sites, such as Le Mont Saint Michel, Fougères Castle, The Cascades in Mortain and many others. Being only a few kilometres from both the Brittany and Pays de la Loire borders it is the perfect location to enjoy the many visitor attractions and local towns and villages the three regions have to offer.
Within easy reach you can discover lakes for fishing, water sports or just relaxing, lovely beaches with miles of sand, plenty of walks and various cycle routes, either throughout the countryside or on the dedicated Voie Verte pathways, beautiful gardens, excellent golf courses and a variety of museums and galleries with an abundance of history. Alternatively you could find a local café to relax in with a glass of wine, cider or a cup of coffee and just enjoy a slice of French life.
Local facilities in Saint Martin de Landelles (5 km) include a local baker, grocers, butcher and a restaurant. The nearest town of Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët is just a 15 minute drive away with its popular weekly market brimming with local produce and regional specialties. Avranches is a large town which has a busy market and a good range of bars, restaurants and shops and is only 35 minutes towards the west.
