About Elen

Having built the house for my father 10 years ago after he fell in love with the area and moved from Somerset.

We too have fallen in love with this special place, where we find ourselves able to unwind and have fun with our family.

We have been holidaying in North Wales for 21 years, initially encouraged by my father who moved to Dyffryn. We soon came to the conclusion that it was a fabulous holiday destination for everyone. And have been enjoying the house and surrounding area with our 3 boys at any opportunity.

Why Elen chose Gwynedd - Snowdonia

A wonderful house in a great location.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Amazing property in a wonderful location - we will certainly be back soon.

Kath & family, Solihull

We booked Tregantle for a family reunion and had a great time, lovely spacious house and setting. Also very convenient to walk to shops, pubs and the beach. Weather was great too and lots to explore. Thanks we are already planning our return trip.

Great property & Area

  • 5 of 5

Lovely tucked away house which is both spacious and homely. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds extremely large and comfortable. It was lovely to sit out on the decking area with the sun going down. The games room (garage) was a big hit with both the kids and adults. The location is great with the beach within walking distance and Snowdonia National Park within an hour's drive. The Spar shop is in the village and has an excellent butchers. Toni's Italian takeaway was very good and only a 5 minutes drive away. This is a lovely area to visit with a great house to stay in. We hope to return.

Wonderful place to relax

  • 5 of 5

A wonderful place to relax after a full days climbing. Has everything you need to wind down, from the games room to the board games to just being able to take it easy in front of the tv or to stroll on the beach. Clean, comfortable and easily accessible to Snowdonia national park. Highly recommended.

Spacious family home and ideal base to see Wales

  • 5 of 5

The house was large and spacious for our party that had 5 adults, 5 kids (4-8yrs) and a baby. Comfortable beds, good facilities including the games table in the garage that the kids loved.

Elen the owner was very communicative and responded quickly to emails and texts and always very helpful. She suggested some great places to see and place to eat - Nineteen 57 for Sunday lunch is a must.

The local beaches are not walk-able but only a 5 mins drive. There is a pub local you can walk too that caters for families and does OK food. Within a few minutes walk from the property is a Spar that does most things you need and an off licence / post office.

One slight negative was the property doesn't really have a garden. The only outside space is the front garden in the picture but this wasn't an issue for us as we spent most of the day out and about.

All in all the property and location was great for the 4 days we stayed there and we managed to fill our days. Had we gone in the summer we could of spent longer on beaches etc but it was still worth a visit.

What a fantastic holiday house

  • 5 of 5

Myself and family stayed for a well earned summer break. On arrival we where very impressed with the property. This is a lovely place with everything we needed for a family holiday. No noise at night so sleeping in our Super King sized bed was very relaxing. The house is very spacious and very well thought out. We would love to return again next year.
