Situated right on the edge of the water, this beautiful apartment has breath taking ocean views and is very conveniently located near the harbour in a quiet cul-de-sac. The well-appointed apartment is located on the ground floor (approached via a few external steps with hand rails) and consists of an open-plan living area with stunning sea views and includes kitchen, lounge and dining area with balcony overlooking the ocean. It has 2 double bedrooms, a family bathroom and an en-suite shower room. PLEASE NOTE THIS APARTMENT HAS A FRIDAY CHANGEOVER DAY.

About Mr and Mrs N J Boulton

We are a recently retired couple, who fell in love with the apartment and Ilfracombe and now live in the town. We love being by the sea and going for long walks along the coastal footpath. The views along the cliff tops are truly stunning and the sea air is exhilarating. Our children and grandchildren love to visit and we all go surfing, kayaking or even swimming in the sea.

The restaurants are excellent, often run by husband and wife and offer very good value for money. We enjoy visiting the local theatre and cinema - it is all on the doorstep!

Why Mr and Mrs N J Boulton chose Ilfracombe

As soon as we walked into the apartment we were struck by the stunning view of the sea and coastline through the huge bay window. It is like having the sea in your living room!

We never tire of sitting looking out of the window at the sea and passing boats - the sea looks different every day, sometimes rough, sometimes calm but always interesting. The difference between high and low tide can be an amazing 10 metres.

It is wonderful to be able to sit on the balcony in the summer, and wander around the harbour area and up Lantern and Capstone hills.

North Devon and Exmoor are beautiful areas with excellent sandy surfing beaches and dramatic scenery - we love it!

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is only 100 metres from the harbour and the sandy harbour beach and is on the coastal footpath. Amazing restaurants and pubs and the town centre are all within easy walking distance. Walk out of the apartment and up Capstone Hill for excellent views over the town and out towards Wales and Lundy Island. Walk in the other direction up Hillsborough for more fantastic views. There is always something to do or see, whatever the weather - enjoy!

We have fallen head over heels in love with your seaside flat and beautiful Ilfracombe. Such a rejuvenating stay! We've loved the local walks, strolls along the coast path and watching the sun both rise and set over the sea. Such an amazing stay, we have loved every minute!



We have had a superb break in this lovely flat, watching the rocks appear and then disappear at high tide. Thank you so much for allowing us to experience your wonderful flat. Hopefully we will return in the future.

Coast/Beach:

Located on the spectacular South West coastal footpath and 100 metres to working harbour (Damien Hirst's unique bronze statue 'Verity' is at the harbour entrance) and sandy harbour beach. The fascinating Blue Flag Tunnels beaches, with a large Victorian seawater swimming pool and renowned rock pools are within easy walking distance.

The long golden sand surfing beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton Sands are a short drive or bus ride away.

Travel:

Nearest railway station is Barnstaple (13 miles away), with a good bus service to Ilfracombe directly outside the railway station.

Distances:

Ilfracombe is close to Exmoor National Park (approx. 5 miles) and is 12 miles from Lynton and Lynmouth, with it's unique water-powered cliff railway. It is 15 miles from Barnstaple, which has an interesting Pannier Market which operates daily.

Further Details:

Ilfracombe town centre has numerous independent shops, 3 supermarkets, a theatre, cinema, swimming pool and gym. It also has an interesting museum and plenty of good pubs and restaurants.

Notes on accommodation: FRIDAY changeover Located in a converted Victorian hotel on a quiet street very close to the harbour and wonderful restaurants. It is on the spectacular South West coastal footpath. Free roadside parking is available directly outside the flat but is restricted to one hour between 10am and 6pm from mid-March to October. The roadside parking is unrestricted overnight and all day between November and mid March. There are plenty of nearby car parks, the nearest being approximately 120 metres from the apartment. Various weekly car parking permits are available from Ilfracombe Tourist Information Centre (Telephone 01271 863001) or can be purchased daily from machines in the car parks. Outside: Balcony with table and chairs overlooking the sea. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and bed linen included (but not beach towels) and property cleaned weekly.

Views to die for

The property is next to the sea, 10m away, and just sitting watching boats sail by and fishermen retrieving lobster pots is so therapeutic. What a joy. The property is very clean inside and vey little noise from adjoining properties. The seagulls can be annoying but that is what you have to bear with and does not detract from the quality of the apartment.

absolutely gorgeous ever changing view.Really nice apartment.

Thanks apartment was lovely with a tremendous view.The only thing it lacked was some cooking pans etc Ilfracombe itself is a bit of an egnima as most of it is run down and scruffy but the harbour is lovely as are the views and most of the shops,bars and cafes in that area.

A perfect setting

The apartment was beautifully appointed with quality equipment. Every need was catered for and the towels were a touch of luxury. The generous welcome gifts were a lovely surprise. Everywhere was beautifully clean and well maintained. All facilities were as described and all instructions and advice for keys etc. were easily followed. The view was amazing with mesmerising waves, whatever the weather. The apartment is situated very close to the harbour and we enjoyed walking round and choosing from the many places to stop for coffee, lunch or dinner. There is a great choice of restaurants. It was a perfect place to take walks by the coast and circle round through the town. The small beaches nearby were just lovely for checking out the rock pools. We had a wonderful restful holiday . The owners have shared a gem of a place with us and one we would certainly recommend to others and revisit ourselves. Hopefully very soon.

Beautiful apartment with stunning sea views. Very well equipped for all you could need. Well located for all amenities. Booking was easy and simple and contact with owners was easy and efficient. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very special memories made there. Will definitely be returning!
