Hi my name is Catherine Rice and although I have been letting to long term tenants in residential properties for a few years now, this is my first holiday let. I live 3 miles away from 'Church View' with my 12 year old son George and our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Harvey. We really look forwards to welcoming you to 'Church View'

Why Catherine chose Holmfirth
We bought a piece of land a few years ago in the heart of Holmfirth where our family have had a business for over 40 years and last year we applied for planning permission to build a house. In December 2013 'Church View' was completed and ready to invite holidaymakers through our doors. Holmfirth is a beautiful town, famous for the filming of 'Last of the Summer Wine'. More recently it has become a popular location for the Arts Festival, the Film festival and the Festival of Folk. We are also minutes walk from the Picturedrome, a wonderful old cinema which now plays host to many fantastic live gig's. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Holmfirth and everything it has to offer you, are also on the doorstep of some wonderful walks and beautiful scenery.
What makes this House unique
'Church View' is on the doorstep of everything Holmfirth has to offer and yet is peacefully tucked away in a perfect location overlooking the parish church in the centre of the town and Victoria Park. Only moments walk from the market, restaurant's, cafe's and bars in Holmfirth. The property also benefits from having 2 spaces in the private car park next to the house. Inside Church View you will have the benefit of staying in a brand new holiday home with all the comforts you would expect when staying away. A fully fitted stunning dining kitchen, a triple aspect lounge with views overlooking Holmfirth. A kingsize bedroom and a twin plus a bathroom and cloakroom.
WOW. That's how to describe the house. From the moment you walk in, the bedrooms are at the entrance level. Walk upstairs to the kitchen and lounge. the kitchen is fully equipped and the lounge is very comfortable.
The beds to are equally comfortable.
Always hot water. The bathroom is large with a big bath and a powerfull showerhead.
Close by within walking distance all the shops that you need.
If we are in the area again we will be going back...

The Heart of the Town
This house was positioned what seemed to be in the heart of the town. We were literally a few minutes walk into the town and yet was privately located to be peaceful. I loved waking up and looking out of the kitchen window to overlook the green in the distance and watch people walking their dogs and playing. The accommodation was really 5* standard and had a designer feel to it. The owner had definitely taken the time to coordinate all the furnishings which really gave you the feel of a hotel standard yet homely at the same time. We'll surely choose this house again and plan to stay at least a month on next UK trip back home. In fact we loved it so much that it made us feel we might like to live in Holmfirth when decide to move back home. Thanks Patty & Larry
Further Details: 'Church View' is in the heart of Last of the Summer Wine town with many wonderful shops, cafe's, restaurant's and bar's within a minutes walk. There is an indoor market, a supermarket, banks and many individual shops to browse in Holmfirth.
Additional information about rental rates
Booking Notes: We require a 20% deposit at time of booking and the balance 28 days before holiday starts or full amount at the time of booking if less than 28 days. There is £100 damage deposit to be paid at time of booking. Changeover Day: We would prefer change over day to be on a Friday but this is flexible so do please ask. You may arrive at the property from 4pm and depart by 11am but again, please feel to ask as we can be flexible.
