Living area with 2 sofas, digital 42" television and DVD player. Cloakroom with basin and WC. First floor. Bedroom one - double bed, dressing table, wardrobes, TV and DVD player. Bedroom 2 - double bed, chest of draws and wardrobe. Shower room - basin, WC and large shower cubicle. Gas central heating. Small enclosed patio with table and chairs. 1 allocated parking space out side the property. Bed linen and towels provided.

We both work locally, me as an Early Years practitioner at a local Pre-School and my husband, Dene, is the owner of "Court Hills Wines", which offers DVD hire and all your convenience store goods, the shop is situated around the corner from the property.

Everything we needed and more

The Annex provided we three jazz fans with a great base for the weekend of the Swanage Jazz Festival. It is extremely well equipped, was spotlessly clean when we arrived and first impressions when we opened the door was how stylish the place looked. Very comfortable beds, the parking spot right outside was a bonus as once we had arrived we left the car there for the duration.

I was not impressed with the Owners Direct service though. About three weeks before we left I had an email with details of the app - not much good to me as I don't have a smart phone - and a 'click on the link below' to access information. There was no link. The day before leaving I contacted the owner for the address and key details as I hadn't heard anything further - and she came back to me immediately with all the information I needed, so that was fine. The 'welcome to Swanage' email which did have the access link and presumably all the details about keys, address etc came to my computer (at home) on the evening of the day we'd already checked in. Too late to be of any use.

So in summary: the property is great, do book it and have a lovely stay. But Owners Direct were useless to us.

The Annex, well equipped and very comfortable

Our 2 week stay started with the very hot weather, and we made full use of the double doors leading into the garden area for the cool air. Although the weather changed for week 2 we managed to go out and about every day using public transport, cheating on the way home by getting a taxi from the station for £3. (we try not to use the car when away). The short walk to the well stocked Off Licence saved a lot of messing about shopping in the town. We really had a great holiday. Thank you Kerry and Dene

Great holiday retreat.

Very comfortable house, especially the beds. All mod cons available and the house was very neat, clean and well appointed. Good position for walking to shops, did not drive the car for the whole week. Good bus service around the coast (used our bus passes) saw a good deal of the countryside.

Weather was very sunny lots of people swimming, beach very clean and boat trips available. Would recommend for family holiday plenty to do and see.

Very enjoyable stay.

With one proviso concerning the information received or rather lack of it from We did not receive a pack of information and were referred to the Web Site in Apps. Not good on internet and found what details given were sketchy and not neccesarily useful. For instance, days out suggested London, Bath etc. From Swanage???

The property was perfect for our stay. It was a good size, very clean & well kitted out. Loads of little personal touches.

It's close to local amenities & in a great place to base your holiday in the area.

I would definitely recommend the accommodation for anyone thinking of holidaying in that area.
