My wife and I visited Turkey for the first time in 2013 and stayed in Kalkan. We fell completely in love with it and could see ourselves returning regularly, so we bought this flat to enjoy Kalkan and the lovely surrounding areas whenever we could. We enjoy relaxed living, beautiful surroundings, plenty of sun and good eating and all this can be found in spades here. We love our little home from home and hope that you will too. Kalkan is very pretty and has managed somehow to retain it's natural charm whilst also offering everything all that you need for a wonderful holiday. We were immediately taken by the atmosphere and the lovely people and felt completely safe everywhere. In addition, there was plenty to entertain us both locally and further afield so, taking everything into account, we decided that this was was definitely the right place to buy.
What makes this Apartment unique
We loved the private and peaceful nature of the complex, with a gorgeous pool and gardens which provide an oasis of calm and Turkish charm and yet a stone's throw from the buzz of the town. Having its own private terrace overlooking the pool was particularly special - we just had to have it!

Well our 5th year in this complex. All been said before but apartment so comfortable , wonderful pool and location great for all facilities . We call it our little oasis as so private. Also thanks to Chris the apartment now has its own wifi this year.

Quality Apartment in charming setting
The apartment was very clean, comfortable and up to a high standard in a central location - it was perfect for me. I stayed for a week early season - bit quieter in town but i enjoyed this time of year when Kalkan gearing up for the season and the harbour boats were getting ready with their final coat of paint! The apartment has a new kitchen and was well equipped for cooking but I generally dined out - as i do on holiday - Kalkan has plenty of dining options! The weather was sunny and warm apart from 1 day of stormy winds but it was still warm! Han Inn is a very charming complex with its gardens and large character pool. Very convenient to the banks, shops and old town/harbour but i also enjoyed the atmosphere of cafes and restaurants in the Kalamar direction - an easy and pleasant 10 min stroll. Anything else.. great shower, comfy bed, plenty wardrobe space, broadband, TV and Ipod dock - its all there - definitely recommend!

Really relaxing holiday
We are regular visitors to Kalkan and this is the best appointed and equipped apartment that we have stayed in. In fact it was so good that we ate in a number of times, something which we’ve never done in previous holidays. It was lovely to have a full length mirror and to have a socket next to it, well what a luxury!
The main living area is very comfortable, but we didn’t use it much and preferred to take advantage of the spacious terrace which gets the sun from early morning until about 5.00 in the evening. If it’s too hot on the terrace, there are always beds in the shade round the pool.
Larger than average pool for the size of the complex. I think there are 9 or 10 apartments and they’re all different which makes for a much more pleasant outlook rather than looking at little boxes. Beware of the pool as there isn’t a shallow end as such. The walk in steps end is the shallowest, but it’s still about 5ft.
Brilliant location. Great for walking down into the town, up to the market and for supermarkets and shops, but really quiet and peaceful.
We would definitely stay here again if it’s just the two of us. Many thanks to Chris for a brilliant holiday!

This was our first visit to Kalkan and Visne and both surpassed our expectations. The apartment has been modernised to a very high standard and everything you could need is provided,just like home from home. The pool is fantastic , location very close to town within walking distance of town, restaurants, shops etc.
We loved our stay so much we booked for next year while still in the resort.

Our second home
This is our 4th year in Visne ,best this year as new owner Chris has refurbished to high standard making this year more enjoyable. We stayed again for a month ! As the apartment is in excellent location close to town ,a little oasis all rounder. Very peaceful round pool area and very well kept gardens etc. Looking forward to next year already. Highly recommended.

Fabulous apartment, ideal location.
Having sold our own apartment, we needed to rent another for the final week of our holiday. Visne apartment on the Han complex met all our requirements.
The apartment is ideally situated for the centre of Kalkan, but is quiet and hidden away in a little oasis just a very short walk to the nearby shops and restaurants.
The apartment was spotlessly clean and Chris and his wife have thought very carefully about the furniture, furnishings and equipment which catered for all our requirements.
The pool was beautiful and the gardens were well looked after by the maintenance team.
Chris and the management team gave us clear instructions and were most helpful in all ways.
If/when we return to Kalkan again we would definitely stay in Visne apartment.

Han Inn is actually closer to town than the Google pointer shows!! That's technology for you.
Less than 10 minutes walk to the local beach where umbrellas and sunbeds can be hired. There are also a number of local beach clubs with excellent facilities, including a wide range of water sports. 20 minutes by minibus to Patara beach - 15 kms of totally unspoilt, golden sand, home of the nesting turtles, where sunbeds and umbrellas can be hired for the day.
Approximately one hour 40 minutes by car from Dalaman Airport, airport transfers can be arranged. Antalya airport is approximately a three hour drive.
Because of the location of the apartment, in the heart of all amenities, car hire is not required but should you wish to hire a car to explore the region, there is ample free parking outside the apartment and in the village.
Kalkan is situated at the foot of the Taurus mountain range and there are several Ottoman towns and villages in the mountains, particularly Elmali, which has well preserved traditional wooden houses. This is about 80 kms from Kalkan, a stunning drive through the mountains of an hour and a half.
40 kilometres from Kalkan, along the coast, is the village of Kaya, where the Louis de Berniers novel, 'Birds Without Wings' was set. The village is now deserted, but there are several small restaurants.
The winding streets of Kalkan offer the visitor a wealth of attractions. There are over 150 restaurants, to suit every taste and pocket. Sit at one of the harbour side bars or cafes, watching the sun go down as you plan where to go for dinner. Browse in the local shops selling everything from silverware and carpets to 'designer' handbags and very well priced jewellery.
For the adventurous, try the wide range of water sports available or book a day on a diving course - there are several PADI dive centres in the village. To totally relax, have a day at sea on a gulet, swimming, snorkelling and getting away from it all.
The apartment is very close to a well stocked local supermarket, which sells everything you could possibly need. There is a butcher less than 5 minutes walk and a bank with a 24 hour ATM three minutes away.
Every Thursday, Kalkan has a local market with a wide range of goods from holiday souvenirs to fresh fruit, vegetables, herbs, cheeses and olive oils brought down from the mountain villages. Taste the locally produced olive oil and you will never want to buy the commercial variety again or try the local olives; dozens of varieties.
Several tour companies in the village offer a range of day trips. Group sizes are kept small and the trips give you the chance to go much further afield without hiring a car. In particular we recommend Saklikent Gorge and Tlos, a magnificent mountain gorge with ice cold water running through, and very well preserved historical site with ruins from Greek, Roman and Byzantine times and the one day trip to Kekova, a sunken city, incredibly well preserved.
For the very active, Kalkan is on the Lycian Way, described by the Sunday Times as one of the 10 best walks in the world. There are a number of clearly signposted walks, from three to six hours and of varying degrees of difficulty originating in the village.
1.We have always dealt direct in the past for payments and will continue to do so for those who do not wish to pay the OD booking fee. The deposit in all cases is the greater of £100 or 15%, which is not refundable for cancelled bookings which are not re-let. 2.There is no set changeover day. Check out at 10am and check in at 3pm but we will agree other times if they don't clash with other guests. 3.We will wherever possible try to accommodate bookings of part weeks. 4.The apartment is not available from 1st November to 31st March.
