The property is located on the border of a small, quite medieval village in the wonderful wooded countryside of Tuscany above Bagni di Lucca, with small private pool, 6.5*3.5. This small rustic cottage, with terracotta floors and chestnut beams, is set on its own grounds of over 1000msq. surrounded by spectacular views whatever weather or time of day. The property is on one level with comfortable sittingroom, full kitchen, a double beddedroom, another larger bedroom with two antique single beds and showerroom.
The front patio leads directly to the pool area, with tables, chairs, umbrellas and deckchairs. Another side patio, directly out the kitchen area, with table and chairs, allows your meals to be quite and relaxing.
This property is perfect for anyone interested in a relaxing holiday, with easy access to all facilities, some within walking distance, but also allowing you to be in the walled City of Lucca within 45minutes and off to any other tourist area; Pisa, Florence, Viareggio, Siena and many other day trip attractions.
We have just returned from a wonderfully peaceful week here in this cottage above Bagni di Lucca. We had trouble with our car hire on the way and Rina couldn't have been more helpful and flexible about our arrival time. She had also filled up the fridge with a few local goods, which was much appreciated. The property was very clean, well catered for and well maintained. Nothing was too much trouble and as it was so hot, Rina provided another table to sit at in the shade of the house. The weather was extremely hot and so the pool was most welcome! The view was stunning, looking out over the hills. It is about a twenty minute drive into Bagni di Lucca. It is a lovely area but we didn't do this justice as it was so hot. It is a perfect spot to recharge the batteries. Rina was there if we needed anything - but not invasive. She also, very thoughtfully, provided us with a map to direct us to our next destination - without being asked. I would definitely recommend it to others - our only slight comment would be the intense heat. Air conditioning would have been a bonus, but...... overall, we thought it was a complete gem of a place/holiday. Thank you!
we recently stayed for a week at this property and had one of the most peaceful and relaxing holidays ever . the villa was a delight , clean and very well equipped with everything you need . the views were stunning and the very large garden bordered by beautiful forest with many birds and wildlife and not overlooked by other buildings so very private . both the owner and rina who manages the property were very helpful having picked us up from the local train station on arrival and provided us with some basic food and drink as the local shops were closed on a sunday . if there were any problems they were always there to help in any way but also left us to our privacy and nothing seemed too much trouble for them . i would thoroughly recommend this villa to any friend or family with no hesitation and hopefully look forward to visiting such a tranquil and beautiful place again
my wife , 3 year old son and i stayed here for a week recently and enjoyed a very tranquil and peaceful stay . the property is very charming and clean inside and very well equiped with all you may need . we were picked up by the lovely rina who manages the property from the rail station and taken to the property where she had provided us with food and drink we may need as the shops were closed on sunday . the property has amazing views and an extensive garden and is very private not overlooked by anyone . bordering the forest there was much wildlife to see especially many birds . it was such a lovely property and location that we very rarely left the villa all week and had one of the nicest relaxing holidays ever . all in all we could find nothing to fault in any way and look forward to hopefully returning someday . i would recommend this property to anyone interested
We arrived to a very tiny old village, up in the mountains, and parked our car on the little square. The landlady Rina and her husband , was there and helped us with the bagage. We walked about 50 meters along old houses in a narrow lane. And then we saw the magnificent view. A nice cottage with the pool, surrounded by hills and valleys and forrest. So beautiful and very welcoming.
The house is very old, authentic, clean and cosy.
Rina had provided us with some goods. Very nice.
We had a lovely vacation for one week and enjoy the surroundings very much.
Rina was ever so helpfull and discreetly all the time.
We vere invited to a pizzaparty on the square for one evening, and it was very enjoyable. We can recommend a trip to the old town Barga. Also placed in the mountains. If you like wine, a trip to Monte Carlo, where are lots of vineyards and winerys.
If you like authentic, old village in the mountains, beautiful and quiet surroundings, with out many tourist, it is the place to be.
