About Tony Marshallsay

Hi,my name is Tony and my wife's name is Toñi,as you can see,we try and keep things simple and uncomplicated. I am from Wareham in Dorset and I met Toñi here in Carmona in the early eighties.I went back to England with a souvenir which I had married here in Carmona and there we lived for quite a number of years.After I found myself out of work,we decided to come back for one of our numerous holidays,not knowing that it was going to be the last.After being offered a job here in Carmona and our two young boys wanting to go to school here,we stayed.That was 24 years ago,I now have my own garage(www.autostony.com)We actually live in Carmona which is little more than 5 mins from the villa.

Why Tony Marshallsay chose Carmona

We bought the property after years of travelling around Spain and renting other peoples country properties. Also,being self employed we cannot always get away as often as liked.So with the property so close to Carmona we can stay in the country as often and for as long as we like.

What makes this Villa unique

Total peace and quiet is at the top of the list.Whilst barbecuing with friends and relaxing is a close second. The sometimes over powering scents from the orange blossom and night jasmine are absolutely wonderful. Just to sit outside and read a book or to listen to the wildlife,sunbathe or swim in the pool,is an absolute joy.

Utility Room: The utility room is accessed from outside but adjoining the main house with washing machine,iron,ironing board and a toilet with wash basin,so avoiding the need to enter the house after coming out of the pool,for e.g. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Cleaning materials etc.are on the premises and the property must be cleaned regularly,a cleaner can be arranged at extra cost.

                                                      We spent a fantastic week in Carmona in this super traditionally built rustic villa ; a huge, deep pool , air-conditioned rooms and a large shaded outside seating area with a bar b q made our stay the perfect holiday destination especially with a young family of keen swimmers...within an easy drive of Seville Airport and with a choice of two large supermarkets near by as well as the charming town of Carmona it was an easy holiday in terms of driving, and a great introduction to this part of Spain...car essential but a really relaxing break..

                                                      The villa was lovely and had all the facilities required. Six adults were able to share comfortably and there was plenty of out door space. The pool was an added bonus and in a beautiful setting. We were woken up each morning by the cockerel and the hens came to visit during the day. Tony could not have been more helpful and even brought us fresh eggs.

                                                      Carmona was beautiful and only five minutes away. We spent some lovely evenings walking around the wonderful historic town and enjoyed some lovely meals there. Seville was a bus journey away and likewise was an excellent day out. We would recommend making the trip.

                                                      We would highly recommend this villa. We hope to return again.

                                                      Great location and facilities for family holiday

                                                      Wonderful villa and location for a family holiday. A great mix of relaxation and things to go and see within easy travelling distance. The villa was exactly as described and had everything we needed to relax. There was also plenty of information inside to allow us to explore the region without loads of research beforehand. Internet access also very useful given the location to allow us to book things locally! Tony and Toni were very helpful and welcoming whilst being extremely discreet, and very accommodating when we had to alter our travel times slightly.

                                                      The pool was excellent and large enough to easily allow a great deal of splashing and swimming at the same time! The air conditioning was of an excellent standard (and essential in August for us from wetter climes). The property was clean, very well maintained, and we felt comfortable from the start.

                                                      Carmona had everything we needed, including some great restaurants and shops. Seville had everything and had some great nights out, particularly in the Triana area. Isla Magicka was great for the kids. It had mixed reviews on various sites, but we had a fantastic, if exhausting day (recommend to go a bit later in the day when not so hot!).

                                                      We have just returned from a family holiday for six and would definitely recommend this villa. The villa is lovely and spacious and has everything you need. Air conditioning throughout worked perfectly which was lovely considering it was 42 degrees outside when we landed! The grounds are completely private and the gardens are beautiful. The pool is huge!! Everything was immaculately clean. Tony and his wife have been superb. When one of the children became unwell they came to the doctors with us and translated. We could not have asked for more from them.

                                                      You definitely need a car if you plan to go out and about. Supermarkets are only a few miles down the road. We cooked quite a few bbqs in the evenings in which was lovely. Not speaking Spanish was not much of a problem but would be helpful to have the basics. Seville is definitely worth a visit.

                                                      In December 2014 as UK weather turned wintery we decided to book a villa in Spain for 3 weeks staying for Christmas. Looking for a quiet setting, with access to towns and interesting cities, we booked this property and it fitted the bill. Communications with owner Tony were excellent and he and his wife Toni met us on arrival in Carmona. Very warm and helpful people they showed us around - the villa was beautifully presented and very clean. We could immediately unwind, eat some food they had got in for us and relax. They were available throughout our stay and did all possible to ensure we were happy even leaving a Christmas tree and decorations for us to get into the festive spirit.

                                                      The weather was so much warmer than the UK and skies were blue which we loved. Nights can get quiet cool though. Carmona is a very interesting town 10min drive away with settlement history going back 5000 years, archeological sites, amazing churches and other buildings, shops, tapas bars etc and has a nice balance of activity without being too crowded at that time of year. The people in the tourist office were very helpful and we booked a concert just before Christmas in the beautiful church of Santa Maria. This was a magical evening with fantastic singer Manuel Lombo and a wonderful group of musicians and singers.

                                                      There's lots to do in the area and car travel is easy and public transport good. We went to Seville several times - so lovely in its Christmas splendor - and Jerez and other smaller towns but also spent days lazing in the garden where temperatures were in the mid 20s and above. We were offered free access to the oranges in the grove attached to the villa and loved our daily fresh juices and the company of the hens who roam there. The property is very pretty and it was wonderful to spent so much time outside in December. The garden is large and the terrace great for eating outdoors.

                                                      Our hosts were lovely and did all possible to make our stay a good one. Tony especially helped us and I can thoroughly recommend them and the property if you are looking for a similar type of holiday.

                                                      A car is essential both for supplies and getting around. We found road users were good drivers and we never felt hassled or threatened. People were friendly and helpful and food excellent. There are many wonderful nearby sights to explore or you can just relax locally. Blue skies, sun, cost of living significantly cheaper than UK, comfy villa. We had a great Spanish Christmas!

                                                      A week of tranquillity, fabulous pool all to ourselves lazy days and evenings out at restaurant's in Carmona. the villa was exactly as described and more, the owner and his wife made us more than welcome with lots of advice on places to visit,a car is a must so that you can take full advantage of the area, but that said take the bus to Seville and the modern tram to the centre. will defiantly book again.

                                                      Coast/Beach: The coast towards Huelva, Matalascañas, Mazagon etc. is an easy 1 1/2 hour drive with motorway/dual carriageway. Travel: Seville airport is situated about a 20min drive away and car hire can be arranged there and is recomended. Malaga airport is about a 2 hour drive away. Distances: The ancient town of Carmona is less than a ten minute drive away,El Viso del Acor less than five minutes. Sevilla being the capital of Andalucia is approx a half hour drive.On the Urbanisation there is a bus stop to enable you to travel to Carmona. Further Details: In the historical town of Carmona,you will find the old defence walls,along with its castle (El Parador) which has been converted to a hotel and owned by the national trust(worth a visit)along with the towns museum over flowing with Roman mosaics and artefacts.The town also boasts a necropolis, where you can have a guided tour for a small fee. Local holidays and fiestas are well worth seeing,such as the Carnival,Semana Santa(Easter) and of course the Feria
