About Colin Dodd
My wife and I moved to Devon 4 years ago. We have family down here and decided to do our own escape to the country!
Colin Dodd purchased this Cottage in 2012
Why Colin Dodd chose Mid Devon District
We moved to our house in Silverton in 2012. It took us a long time to find the right property in this very popular Devon village. We are on the edge of the village in a very peaceful and secluded setting, yet only a few minutes walk to the village shop and two excellent country Inn's. There are lovely country walks for the dog, right from the doorstep.
What makes this Cottage unique
Silverton is a very friendly village, conveniently placed for access to, Exmoor, Dartmoor and the beaches of both North and South Devon. The two country Inn's all have a different character, they are all dog and child friendly and server excellent food, at reasonable prices! We are located in the Devon hills only 8 miles from Exeter. Ideally located for visiting children at Exeter University.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Perfect self -catering
Spacious, well laid out on 2 levels and really attractive barn conversion. Spotless. Practical for us and our dog. Treats for him as well as us! In the centre of historic village surrounded by trees with access via gated courtyard. Shop and pub within a couple of minutes’ walk. We loved this place. C

What a lovely place
Nice little property
Decorated nicely & clean . Nice little get away and love the personal touch of the tin bin left for my dog which they personalised with her name and left treats , towel and blankets .
the resorts of Exmouth, Sidmouth, Beer or Budleigh Salterton are 12 miles away. A little further to North Devon with its rocky coves and long sandy surfing beaches such as Woolacombe, Westward Ho!
National Parks of Dartmoor and Exmoor are around 15 miles away. Exmoor with its magnificent landscapes, rocky headlands and plunging waterfalls. Dartmoor with its beautiful tours
A car is highly recommend, there is a regular bus service from the village to Exeter and Tiverton.
This detached barn conversion, lies within the conservation area of the historic village of Silverton, 2 miles from the Killerton National Trust Estate. Exeter, 8 miles, is a fascinating city with a magnificent cathedral and a historic quayside. The beaches of Exmouth, Sidmouth and Dawlish and the spectacular South Devon Coastal Path are 12 miles, whilst the rugged grandeur of Exmoor and Dartmoor are 15 miles.
