Spacious family home with 5 bedrooms set over 3 floors. There are two shower rooms, a family bathroom and 4 toilets.

The lounge and kitchen are spacious and comfortable. The layout of our house is:

Bedroom 1: master bedroom with super king size bed, travel cot and space for another travel cot or inflatable bed

Bedroom 2: double size room with triple bunk

Bedroom 3: double room with double bed

Bedroom 4: twin room with 2 single beds and room for an inflatable bed

Bedroom 5: double room with double bed, cot and single bed.

We have a driveway at the back of the house with room for one car; on-street parking is permitted on Park Road.

About Nichola Harman

We have lived in Swanage for the past eight years, which the children have enjoyed. We are very active as a family, making the most of the beautiful beaches and countryside either by running, cycling, or walking.

Why Nichola Harman chose Purbeck

Nikki grew up in Swanage but left at the age of 19 to go to university. It was after the birth of our first child, in 2005, that we decided that Swanage is a lovely place to raise children, so we moved back in 2008. We love living here, in such a beautiful part of Dorset. We feel very lucky to be living here and love our home very much. The house was run-down and semi-derelict when we moved into it. We painstakingly began the process of restoring it to a family home and now we are happy with all of the hard work that has gone into it!

What makes this house unique

Our family home is situated right in the centre of town. In the main summer season, it gets very busy in Swanage with carnival week, the Bournemouth air show, lifeboat week, fireworks displays each weekend and all sorts of other festivals going on in and around Swanage. Being within walking distance of local amenities and activities is something we are very grateful for as parking in town is not always easy! We have a drive at the back of the house for one vehicle, which is also very much appreciated and very handy, as most town houses in the centre of town do not offer off-road parking. There is also free parking on Park Road and nearby roads.

Notes on accommodation: The house sits between Park road and Taunton Road. The front entrance is on Park road. Access to the back of the property is via Taunton Road, where the off-road parking is situated. No smoking in house, please. Sorry, no pets. Outside: There is a narrow courtyard that runs adjacent to the side of the house, which leads to the parking space. There is a washing line, and there is room for a small table and 2 chairs to sit outside. Utility Room: Washing machine and tumble drier plus washing line outside in little courtyard Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen available for Super King sized bed ONLY; however duvets and pillows will be provided for all beds (not cots/cotbed); towels NOT provided The house will be cleaned on Saturdays (changeover day) Other: TV in bedroom 5

Perfect location, beautiful house, great welcome,

Met by a very warm welcome, loved the very spacious and well kitted house with the warmth of a family home. Plenty of bathrooms, toilets and room for a large group. Parking for car and all our beach bits. The town is one minute away, the beach three minutes and all aminities are on your doorstep. Swanage is a perfect seaside town that hasn't been spoilt, we love it. From the clean beach and safe waters to the unrivaled beautiful surrounding cuntry side a perfect place for a family holiday.

Beautiful property, amazing location

This beautifully-renovated property provided a wonderful base for our week's stay in Swanage. The house is very well-appointed and presented to the highest standard, and we were made to feel extremely welcome by the property owner. Our party comprised of three families, all with young children, and the owner and her family had gone out of their way to accommodate our needs. The property is very spacious, and the layout over three floors allowed each family some privacy, whilst shared areas accommodated us comfortably.

The property is ideally located a stone's throw from the centre of Swanage, meaning we could be on the seafront enjoying all that Swanage has to offer within five minutes. Parking at the property is for one vehicle, and we did need to park our other cars quite a way further up the hill, but this did not prove a problem for us. Overall, a fantastic stay and we would thoroughly recommend this property for a large group.

family holiday

The Yellow House was a perfect location for our family It was great being so close to the shops and beach, It was also very much appreciated having a parking place for one of our cars, we also had no trouble finding parking places for our other cars as we had four at one time!

The house was very well equipped, very clean and the owners very helpful. The only complaint we had was the rather annoying kettle! We have stayed in many holiday homes over the years and this was one of the best. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to family and friends.

Less than 3 minutes walk to the nearest Stoney beach (monkey beach, near the pier); around 5 minutes walk to the main sandy beach along the main promenade (by the Mowlem theatre).


Nearest airport is Bournemouth, approximately one hour's drive from Swanage.

There are 2 small supermarkets in the town centre, plus local boutique-style shops, tourist shops and a wide range of cafés, pubs and restaurants available. There are several banks, and Bakeries, as well as a few chemists. There is a bus station in Swanage, as well as the Swanage Railway, which runs steam trains to and from corfe castle. The railway line is due to be linked to the mainline sometime in the near future!

Your deposit will be returned once the house has been cleaned and checked after you have left.
