Newlands House – Lake District Self Catering Cottage in Keswick, Cumbria (Sleeps 11). Recently refurbished in 2012, with gas central heating & new furnishings throughout and a newly fitted extra bathroom. This self-catering cottage in Keswick, Cumbria has a modern theme whilst keeping its period charm, with such amenities as wireless internet access, 3 Bathrooms as well as wall mounted TVs in 3 rooms. There is on street parking and once you are there you could leave the car parked up for theweek as all the local amenities are just 5 minutes away. Booking Newlands House. You can book a full week (Friday – Friday), or a half week (Friday – Monday or Monday – Friday). Check-in time is 3pm, check-out is 10am on the day of departure.

Newlands was our first house in Keswick and we love it that much that since then we have purchased another three houses on the back of it

Lovely charismatic house in superb location

There were 2 families of 4 and grandparents staying during October half term. The house is perfectly suited to a family of 10. Decent size bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (1 en suite). Large living room, Dining room with huge table and perfectly adequate kitchen. House was cleaned to a high standard with fresh bedding and thankfully comfortable beds. We had a slight problem with the loo seat & emailed the owner-within 40 mins there was a knock on the door from a 'handy man' who came to replace the seat - v impressive. On street parking is challenging but the whole of Keswick is like this so not to be mistaken for a criticism. We truly did have a wonderful week in Keswick and the house was perfect for us all with a superb location. Definitely recommend for location alone and hope to return soon.

Charming house, superb position

We were a family group of 11 children to grandparents age range. We required somewhere central for everybody and this suited us fine, house is very clean, with a well equipped kitchen & nice decor. The booking experience went very smoothly no issues whatsoever and I'm sure if you don't know the area the owners will provide lots of information. We spend a lot of time in the lakes walking but this was a celebration, everyone enjoyed Keswick as lots to do for all ages with lovely amenities nearby.

Very clean and comfortable house

Very accurate description online, property was as per description. House was clean, well maintained and equipped, with a lovely decoration style - it felt very comfortable, nice colour palette throughout the house. I was impressed with the customer service we received from Chris, the owner: we had initially booked the Studio, but there has been a problem with the boiler and Chris offered us this 5 bedroom house all to ourselves instead (for the same price). We would definitelly recommend this property and we will come back to one of Chris' houses when we will have another holiday in Keswick. There is so much to do in the area: we rested a lot and had shorter walks through the town and by Derwent water, but we also did longer (still, easy) walks around Rydal water and Buttermere Lake and we went up castle crag (the little but challenging hill at the one end of Derwent Water). The week here has been a delight!

family gathering

I rented Newlands House to celebrate my wifes birthday with all of the family together. The house was perfect with a large and comfortable lounge, very well equipped kitchen and a huge dining table to accomodate all 10 of us. Bedrooms are over 3 floors ranging from bunk beds for the older boys to a double/family room with en suite which was perfect for the smaller children. The other rooms are twin bedded so everyone was well catered for. There are 2 bathrooms both with showers on the first landing as well as the en suite. A super victorian house, close to the centre of town. Highly recommended..
