Wonderfully located in the Peak District hamlet of Monsal Head, just three miles from Bakewell the property boasts a commanding position overlooking the beautiful Monsal Dale and it's famous Viaduct. Luxuriously appointed throughout to provide very spacious accommodation. There are nine bedrooms, seven of which are en-suite, spread over two floors, so there is plenty of flexibility over the sleeping arrangements. A well-equipped kitchen boasts an AGA range cooker so the budding chefs in your party can whip up a fabulous meal and serve it in a dining hall seating twenty two. A very spacious sitting room with a woodburning stove and a TV room / snug with an open fire complete the accommodation, so you can be assured of plenty of room for everyone to relax and spend that all important time together. Outside are a beautifully manicured walled garden with a patio/BBQ area for that al fresco dining experience and further to the rear a large paddock where kids (and adults) can let off steam in safety.

With two traditional Derbyshire pubs within a short walk and the market town of Bakewell just a 5 minute drive away, everything is really convenient. The house, gardens and field are carefully maintained to provide a beautiful home from home for our guests with masses of space for all sorts of games and activities outside while the open fires,log burner and AGA cooker create a cosy atmosphere inside.

A fabulous house with stunning views!

I stayed at Castle Cliffe with my extended family for the fourth time. As usual we were warmly welcomed by Neil and Jackie. The accommodation is first class and ideal for a large family group. The kitchen is extremely well equipped to cater for large numbers. The cleanliness and presentation of the whole house is immaculate. Neil and Jackie even leave brownies (much appreciated) and vases of fresh flowers. There are stunning views from all the bedrooms, most of which are en-suite. We enjoyed many walks from the house. There are some beautiful villages in the surrounding area within easy reach on foot or by car. The walk down the hill to the Packhorse pub is certainly worthwhile. Excellent food, and I am told that the beer is good too! I would highly recommend Castle Cliffe for any large family get-together
