Atlanta Breeze enjoys a privileged position on the South West Coast Path, located between Carbis Bay and St Ives. All the attractions of St Ives are a 15 minute walk away, including its sandy beaches, shops, restaurants and art galleries (including Tate St Ives). The luxury accommodation includes two bedrooms, lounge, kitchen diner, bathroom (with bath & shower) and downstairs cloakroom. Guests have use of the private garden, with stunning views across the bay, deck chairs, a circular picnic table and barbecue. Best of all the private indoor swimming pool attached to Atlanta (the owners' home) is available for use by guests - perfect after a day on the beach, a long coastal walk or an early morning run. We provide all linen and towels, plus all the extras in the kitchen, and a wide selection of games, books and DVDs (just in case the Cornish weather misbehaves!). Our past guests have loved it - you will too.

About David Bright

We are Dawn & David Bright, and we are proud to offer Atlanta Breeze via Owners Direct.

We moved back to the UK in 2008 after living in Stockholm, Sweden for three years. Like so many others before us, this was our chance to jump off the corporate career ladder and make the break for a better, more balanced life in beautiful Cornwall. With our two children Alexandra (16 at the time) and William (12) we bought Atlanta - a lovely family home with an annex perfect for a holiday cottage. And an indoor pool!

After a total refurbishment, 'Atlanta Breeze' was ready for holidaymakers in May 2009. The cottage has been a huge success, with many return visitors every year. Over the winter of 2016/17 we undertook a further substantial refurbishment, updating most of the furniture and decor. Our 2017 guests have loved the changes.

Since then we have also set up Limelight Studio - our photography business, and Dawn runs Guided Tours of St Ives.

We just love St Ives!

Atlanta Breeze is in a perfect location. Far enough from town to escape the crowds in the summer, but near enough to easily walk to and from the beaches and town.

We are in a totally secluded and peaceful location on the South West Coast Path. Just a few houses, very little traffic and fantastic views across St Ives Bay.

And no problems parking - our drive easily takes four cars.

What makes this house unique

St Ives is awash with lovely holiday properties, but not many can claim to be unique. But Atlanta Breeze truly is a unique destination, that we are very proud to offer.

So what makes it unique? Well, it is the combination of the exclusive location on Hain Walk (known locally as 'Millionaire's Row), the private indoor swimming pool, the lovely spacious gardens, and private off-road parking for two (or more) cars. We are so lucky to live here, and love to share the facilities with our guests, many of whom are now becoming friends after many holidays in Atlanta Breeze.

What a wonderful week we have had at Atlanta Breeze. We really do not want to leave! Waking up every morning to that view was truly amazing. The house is absolutely perfect and had everything we needed - even down to children's cups and plates! The location is great and an ideal distance from St Ives with two prams. The pool was an added bonus and gave the children a chance to burn off more energy.

Both bedrooms have large cupboards with a mix of hanging space and shelving. The walk-in cupboard in Bedroom one has room for your suitcases, and many guests have also decided it's the perfect spot for their baby in the cot we provide!

Notes on accommodation: Atlanta Breeze is a non-smoking property, and regretfully no pets are allowed. Outside: Large private garden with views across St Ives Bay. A large round picnic table seating up to 8 and a pair of wooden deck chairs are provided. Weber Barbecue and a range of garden games. Rotary airer and clothes pegs also provided. Private parking for two cars is available on the drive. Parking is very difficult in St Ives during the summer months, so this is a major advantage over town-centre properties. Utility Room: Washing machine, ironing board and iron. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen included. We ask guests to bring their own towels for the swimming pool, and linen for the cot if required. Property is serviced upon changeover, with mini-clean and linen change half way through a two-week stay. Other: The private indoor swimming pool is 6m long by 3m wide and a constant 1.2m deep. It is heated year-round to approximately 29c, and is available for use by guests between 8am and 7pm everyday.

Furnished to an extremely high standard, spotlessly clean and with the added bonus of a lovely swimming pool when the British weather let us down. We were made extremely welcome and our three girls 4,6,8 had a brilliant time

Wow! What a place. Have just returned from a fantastic holiday in St Ives where being able to call this beautiful house 'home' for a week has been the icing on the cake. It's beautifully presented, exceptionally clean and every little thing has been thought of, really making it a home from home. Situated between the beautiful beaches of Porthminster and Carbis Bay and a pleasant stroll into St Ives it really is in the perfect location. The swimming pool was a huge hit with our two young children; it proved the perfect end to every day. Our only disappointment is that the summer holidays are already fully booked for next year!

We had a wonderful time. Atlanta Breeze was perfect- a good size, spotlessly clean, very well equipped and homely without losing a sense of luxury. Dawn and David were the perfect hosts- there if you needed them, but so respectful if you just wanted a quiet week. The swimming pool was a highlight and our toddler absolutely loved it. The location was also perfect- 10 mins walk in either direction to two stunning beaches, and short drives to the wonderful Minack theatre, Lands End, St Michael's Mount etc. Also a fabulous farm shop within about 10 minutes. Apart from the bath plug being a tiny bit small so that the water eventually trickled out, we really couldn't fault it. Even the weather was great. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much (and hello to Jack the cat!).

Numerous sandy bathing beaches are within easy reach:

Porthminster Beach is a sandy, sheltered beach ten minutes walk away along the coast path;

Carbis Bay is also sandy and sheltered, and a ten minute walk away along the coast path (some steps);

Porthmeor Beach is a sandy beach ideal for body-boarding and surfing. It is a 25 minute walk, or a 5 minute drive;

Gwithian Towans is a long sandy beach backed by sand dunes, also popular with body-boarders and surfers and and is a 15 minute drive.


Nearest airports are Newquay (45 minutes), Exeter (1.5 hours) and Bristol (3 hours).

Rail service from London Paddington to Penzance takes around 5 hours (local service available from St Erth to St Ives).

Car is not essential but is advised.


St Ives is a 15 minute walk away, with a wide selection of shops, restaurants and art galleries, including Tate St Ives, Barbara Hepworth Museum & Leach Pottery.

Truro is 30 minutes away, Falmouth 50 minutes, Newquay also 50 minutes.

Easily accessible tourist attractions include The Eden Project, Minack Theatre, Lands End, St Michael's Mount, Cornish Gardens including Trelissick, Trengwainton, Trebah, Glendurgan.

Further Details:

St Ives is a hugely popular destination and caters for tourists all year round. It has a unique character with its quaint cobbled streets around the harbour, but has a full range of facilities including banks, supermarkets and a leisure centre.

It is famous for its colony of artists and a wide range of art galleries offer every possible genre of art, and the St Ives School of Painting offers drop-in classes or longer courses for those who want to try their hand.

Located at Porthmeor, the St Ives School of Surfing offers short one-hour lessons, or daily lessons over the course of a week. Body boards, surfboards and wetsuits can all be hired.

We have a fantastic range of restaurants, with high-quality food available at all the main beaches - Porthminster Cafe, Porthgwidden Cafe and Porthmeor Cafe. In the town and around the harbour you are spoilt for choice, with fish restaurants aplenty plus Chinese, Indian, Tapas, Italian & Mexican all available and suiting any budget.

Booking Notes:
Bookings can be made by telephone or email. A deposit of 25% is requested to secure the holiday booking, with the remainder due six weeks before arrival. We request a returnable £100 breakages deposit along with the final payment. Payments can be made by cheque or bank transfer.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Friday. Short breaks (Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday) are available during low season at 60% of the full-week cost.
Arrival is from 3pm and departure is by 10am.

Notes on prices:
Late booking discount of 10% on all holidays booked within two weeks of arrival.

Couple's discount of 20% offered on all full week bookings for two people from October to March (excluding school holiday weeks).

Deposits are non-refundable in the event of cancellation, unless the week is re-booked. See our booking terms for full details.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
