Our apartment is brand new in a traditional Italian building. It is stylish, sleek, and has the most incredible panoramic views of the lake from its' two balconies, with surrounding large windows. Yes you will see the floating piers from the balcony or less then 5 minute walk to the entrance from Sulzano. There are two large bedrooms, one with a king bed, and one with a queen bed. The living room has a sofa that pulls out to sleep one very comfortably. There is one bathroom and an additional toilet in the laundry room. The bathroom has a rain shower and large relaxing whirlpool spa. It is located steps away from the lake and main town that has a train station, ferry, grocery store, pharmacy, butcher shop, fruit shop, restaurants and bars. As close as it is to the main town it is set back and very quiet. A garaged parking space is provided. Come and enjoy our modern european luxuries in the beautiful lake side town of Sulzano! Just few km away from Franciacorta area!

About Owner / Property Manager
We met eachother accidently after a wrong contact add on Skype many years back. At the time Roberto was in Singapore but living in Saudi Arabia, and Jenny was living in Los Angeles. Roberto was planning his move back to Italy and looking everywhere for a place to call home. He grew up in Marone, which is two towns over, but since being a teenager has been away studying or working. This home was his Nonna Lucia's home and after searching all through the area he reluctlutly decided to purchase this property and make it his own. This was the time that he met Jenny and after a few conversations via skype text decided to come to Los Angeles on a holiday to meet. At the time I was working as a hosptality manager while owning a modeling agency in LA. We were engaged to be married 8 months after meeting one another, and married 10 months after that. At that time we had moved to Lenox, Massachuttes for Roberto's job for a year project. We moved to Italy and lived in this, our first home, in Dec 2014 after finishing our nearly two year renovation. After living here for over a year we found out that we are headed back to California. As we head back to the Gold Coast we now have our Golden Retreiver "Lilly", and are expecting our son's arrival in June 2016. We hope that this home brings you as much happiness in your stay that it has brought to us. We wish you a wonderful trip that is full of life's beautiful memories. Roberto, Jenny and Lilly Presti
Owner / Property Manager purchased this Apartment in 2012
Why Owner / Property Manager chose Sulzano
This property was in Roberto's family for his entire life. He was hesitant to purchase the property because he wanted something that really was "his." But after spending over a year looking for properties he realized that after a modern renovation this property really was everything that he was looking for regarding size, view and location. Although the intention of this house was to be Roberto's 'bachelor pad" after the purchase it quickly became changed gears as as renovation intended for a young new family.
What makes this Apartment unique
The view from this property is incredible. The home is a mix of old world charm with very modern conviences. The exterior and hallways are filled with local marble that our grandmother picked out when she had a young family, and the interior of the home is all of the best of the modern local fixtures, materials and yes the same local marble from a new age. The location has the best of small lake town and is close to the larger city Iseo filled with shops and restaurants. It is near beautiful Franciacorta where sparkling wine is produced, where the vines are as far as your eye can see with the beautiful mountains as the backdrop. Industrial larger city Brescia where the Mille Mile begins and ends is a very close 25 min drive away.

Wonderful vacation rental in idyllic lake town
We loved this place. Spectacular view of the lake, super modern and hip interior design, very clean, very well equipped kitchen, awesome beds and linens, few blocks to the lake(which is gorgeous), super-responsive owners, great low-key town (non touristy) and best of all, the owners' mom who came to let us in and show us around. Only hesitation in writing this review is we want to come back and we don't want it to be booked!
Comfortable home with lovely views of the lake
The apartment is very comfortable although the bed was a bit soft for my back. There is a pleasant west facing balcony overlooking the lake, which does get a bit hot in the afternoon, but includes two curtains which can be pulled across to add shade and help cool it. Unlike previous reviewers we did find the trains to be a problem in the early morning when they generally woke us up (the first train comes through at 5.20am and then every 15-20 minutes thereafter), although we got used to them during the day and didn't really notice them. Sulzano is a charming town with good bars and restaurants and access to other parts of the lake by public boat. Good supermarkets can be found in Iseo about a 10 minute drive away. We spent most of our time hiking in the mountains around Sulzano and found plenty of tracks to keep us busy for 2 weeks. A very good hiking map is available from the Information Point in Sulzano for only 2 euros.
Dear Liz, thank you so much for your review.
As a benefit of any potential guests I would like to provide additional information on regards of the train issue. Apartment was totally renovated in 2014 and double glass windows were installed to improve any noise insulation even though the trains are really rare especially June through September period since school are closed and number of trains is drastically lower. I am a little surprise to see that every morning train passes at 5.20 am since I am absolutely not aware about such schedule and I would invite any potential guests to check the train schedule of Trenord on their official website. The first train passes through Sulzano during summer around 7 am and every 1 hour till 11.20 am, after that there are trains every 2 hours till 5/6 pm. Trenord actually announced a reduction of number of trains to be implemented shortly. Again thank you Liz for staying with us!
Well located and appointed, great views, balcony looking over the lake, spacious and comfortable
This is a wonderful apartment to spend a week in Sulzano and around Lago d'Iseo. Close to the train line, it is an easy walk from the station. Our host (on behalf of her son Roberto), Maria, was friendly and waving to us from the balcony as we approached. Although we speak only a little Italian and Maria only a little English, we managed just fine.
The apartment has 2 good sized bedrooms, comfortable beds, a well-fitted out laundry. The lounge, kitchen and dining had everything we needed too. The bathroom was modern and spacious and was augmented by a second toilet in the laundry.
The balcony has a wonderful view of the lake and the surrounds. It’s a short walk down to the lake to catch a range of boats which go to other towns and villages around the lake. There’s a good supermarket, one butcher and one general store - all with very helpful folks selling local produce. Our hosts had recommended a great local restaurant – Trattatoria Cacciatori which we enjoyed twice - very much.
The apartment, and the town of Sulzano, make a great base for getting around Lago d'Iseo and nearby places such as Brescia, due to the ferry and services.
A wonderful property
We recently had a 6 night stay in Sulzano and stayed in this home for the second time.
We found it once again to be a well presented property with a multitude of assets. It was a clean, simple apartment which had everything we needed whilst on vacation.
The apartment is adjacent to a railway line, and trains pass every twenty minutes or so, but cease at night. This, in our view does not detract from the property as the railway line actually leaves an open space on the west side which maximizes the amazing view. If arriving or leaving by train the station is about a 200m walk!
There are numerous activities in the area to keep one occupied and many nearby interesting towns.
Thank you Roberto and Jenny for access to your wonderful house again!
Grace and Rowan
This is a beautiful apartment located on the first floor of a three floor block. It is in the sleepy town of Salzano, but there are good road and rail connections. We drove from Milan Linate Airport but next time we would use the trains, as the Sulzano station is just a few yards away from the apartment. There's a small supermarket, bakers and a couple of bars. For a good restaurant we found Iseo has a great selection. The boat ferries are easy and timely to use. Mount Isol is just minutes away and worth the trip. Thanks Roberto for all your prompt assistance.
Beautiful and comfortable accommodations
Great apartment for families. Helpful and responsive owners as well. Sulzano is such a wonderful spot and the apartment is well situated for visitors for easy walking access to the town and very close walking distance to the wonderful Trattoria Cacciatore for cosy dinners.
Lake Iseo is in the Brescia Province, and it may not be an area you are familiar with, although you wish you were. It is a hidden gem that is located on an idealistic lake and is 1hr 15 min away from Milan airport, 1 hr 30 minutes away from Lake Como, 2 hour train ride from Venice, 1 hr from Verona, and 2hrs 30 minutes away from Tuscany. It is a perfect central location if you plan to see many of Italy's destinations. There is a train station 3 minutes walking distance to the house that will take you into Brescia to access any of these Italian towns.
Regarding the house you are walking distance to the main town with an ATM, grocery store, butcher, Pizza place, bars and restaurants. The Ferry that will take you anywhere on Lake iseo is just steps away. You can rent bikes for free less then 5 minutes away outside of the Ferry ticket sales.
