About Tim Parker
We bought bleak house lodge as a holiday home and have spent 6 months on renovations, keeping the house as simple as possible with its original features. In March 2016 We Extended the lounge to add another living room. We hope you enjoy staying in the house as much as we do.

Another wonderful stay at Bleak Lodge
A beautiful house in the perfect location with a stunning, relaxing garden. We will return again and again.
'Quiet, historic flint cottage with private garden' says it all. It is spacious, comfortable and atmospheric, and the garden is delightful. The main bedroom is en suite but there is a fine bathroom on the ground floor. Kitchen is compact but more than adequate. TV is good on main channels but reception is poorer on supplementary ones. Very near the sea in a quiet setting (wonderful birdsong) Recommended.
A fantastic weekend in Broadstairs
I stayed in the property for 2 nights with my partner and our 1-year-old baby. The location was perfect - just a couple of minutes away from the beach and sea and also very close to all shops, pubs and restaurants. The house was clean, cosy and comfortable and certainly perfect for all of our needs. Although the stairs are steep, it was easy to keep the baby away from them by closing the doors at the top and bottom. Furthermore, the selection of toys within the house were also much appreciated. We enjoyed the long walk along the coast to Margate and a shorter stroll to Ramsgate. This part of the coastline is beautiful and both of these other towns are well worth a visit for their own reasons. Oh yeah, and the ice creams from Morelli's were great!
Great little find
If you really want the Dickens experience in Broadstairs this has to be the place to stay, the small cottage feels like it has so many original features including the open fires and its character is what makes it so special. The cottage itself is well kitted out with all you will need and was clean with very comfortable beds. I will definitely be returning.
Lovely characterful property in a quiet street close to the sea.
homely clean and comfortable
This lovely cottage had everything we needed for our stay, close to beach and no need to use a car once in and settled if you don't want to. Interesting trinkets in cottage, lovely comfortable beds and hot showers, nice little garden to enjoy the last of the october sunshine in.
The property is just a few moments walk from the sandy beaches of both Viking Bay and Stone Bay. Perfect for both children and adults alike.
Broadstairs Station is a 15 minute walk.
It is not necessary to have a car, all amenities of the town are within walking distance and there are good train and bus services if you want to travel further afield.
Close to Margate which has attractions such as the Turner Gallery, the Shell Grotto, and plenty of galleries, antique and vintage shops to browse.
Ramsgate, with its harbour, galleries, and restaurants is a walk scenic costal walk away.
Joss Bay, well know for surfing and the picturesque Botany Bay are a pretty walk or short drive east of the town of Broad
