The property sits high up in the stunningly beautiful Snowdonia National Park. The Sea Shack is built from Scandinavian cedar and the interior painted to emulate a Hamptons beach house. About The Owner

I live in Shropshire with my husband, Jon and our two children, Sophie and Oliver in a barn conversion.

My children are growing up and I now have an opportunity to work for myself but still be available for my family.

A little note to my regular holiday makers. I have now changed the email address to my husband as he has now taken over the running of the Sea Shack. I still have the same contact details but I have other commitments for now so he will be in charge!

I have enjoyed converting above the garage and our cabin in Aberdovey (The Seashack).

I hope you enjoy your stay either in Shropshire or Aberdovey.

The Owner purchased this chalet in 2011

Why The Owner chose Gwynedd - Snowdonia

Jon and I wanted a bolt hole not too far away from home so that we could use it for holidays but also to get away at weekends with our family or friends. We all love Aberdovey as there is always something to do.

What makes this chalet unique

The reason I love it so much is that you instantly relax as soon as you drive into Aberdovey. It is such a pretty village with lovely shops and places to eat. Seabreeze is my favourite and the Deli does great lunches and coffee. Kids love the Sweet Shop (homemade ice cream).

I love the Sea Shack as you enjoy the vibrant village life and beautiful beaches and then you can escape up the hill and enjoy the peace and views. The children have the freedom to roam around the park and make friends. Jon and I can read a book, listen to music and relax. No more needs to be said!

Perfect location to get away from it all!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I came to The Sea Shack for a couple of nights just to get away from all the hustle and bustle of every day work life. Although we didn't get the weather, we truly enjoyed our stay at this charming location which boasts amazing sea views. We spent as much time as possible on the veranda enjoying the scenery and relaxing. We will most certainly be staying again and also recommending to all our couple friends who want to get away for a relaxing weekend away from it all. Also, the communication with the property owner was brilliant, making sure we had clear directions and instructions on using the facilities, etc prior to our visit. Fantastic.

Cozy, welcoming, amazing location. Weather helped, being the hottest days of the year so far. Only drawback was we couldn't stay longer. Will be coming again.

Lovely place to stay!!

  • 5 of 5

Went with husband and daughter for may half term for a week and absolutely loved it!! Its a lovely place to stay, lovely little town by the sea and even more lovely views! Plenty to do in the area; we went crabbing, bodyboarding, biking and did lots of walking.

Sonia was helpful throughout the booking process and I have already recommended it to a couple of my friends.

Beautiful views

  • 5 of 5

Lovely views from the lodge, a great sun trap sitting on the decking. A tidy, clean stylish lodge just up the hill from Aberdovey village. Wonderful location, great beaches and walks, a perfect break away for families or couples.

Sea Shack Aberdovey

  • 5 of 5

Set in a stunning location (breath taking views of the Dyfi estuary and coast line), the Sea Shack was our home from home. Comfortable cosy, & well appointed we loved nothing more than to return to our chalet after a spending a day on one of the lovely local beaches (the crabbing in Aberdovey proved most fruitful!) or walking in the glorious Gwynedd countryside. We'd highly recommend the Sea Shack but you may have to compete with us for a stay because we'll definitely be back.
