About Alastair Knockton

My wife (Helen) and I have been holidaying in the New Forest area for over 15 years, visiting once or twice a year. We finally took the plunge and bought Willow Cottage in October 2013. Our son James, who is 8 years old, loves the garden and we love relaxing in the lounge with a glass of wine next to the wood burning stove.

The location of Bickton attracted us as it is so quiet yet convenient for major road networks. The New Forest is just a short walk away and the River Avon path is just at the end of the road. We hope you enjoy Willow Cottage as much as we do!

Lovely cottage in an ideal location.

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was spacious and well equipped. Beautiful garden with plenty of space for our 1-year old to crawl and explore (and included a nice patch of herbs). Perfect location away from the main road and only 2 minute drive from beautiful Fordingbridge. Helen and Alastair answered to all our needs. We recommend this cottage.

Great property over New Year

  • 5 of 5

Everything was excellent about out our 3 night stay over the New Year.

The property was great, very spacious and warm and in a very quiet location. Great walks and countryside all around and we would not hesitate in returning for another stay.

Highly recommended - thanks to Helen (owner) for all of the helpful information etc.
