Cottage in Sedbusk,Nr Hawes. Full Central heating and Open Fire, Double Glazing.Cosy cottage in ideal walking location.
Lilac cottage was a farm workers cottage which was converted to one of the first holiday cottages in Wensleydale by my mother many years ago. Since then I have gradually updated it so that it still retains many original features, but is now a warm and comfortable cottage. The location, on the edge of the village, means it is private and peaceful with stunning views over Wensleydale. There are many walks all around. Hawes, with its shops and pubs is just over 1 mile away over the fields, the nearest pub about half a mile away. There are longer walks from the doorstep, to Castle Bolton, or up Stagsfell behind the cottage.

Great situation, lovely cosy and roomy cottage
Got snowed in on the Sunday, beautiful in its own way. Lovely spacious cottage. Everything here. Thanks.
PEACEFUL COTTAGE
A very comfortable, warm cottage, with lovely views and plenty of peace (especially when snowed in)!!!
Everything you could want and snow
The property had everything you needed without going over the top with 'welcome' baskets and the like.It was spacious and had WiFi which we hadn't expected.Very quiet and with beautiful views, claen and comfortable.Would definitely go again.
Quiet location good base for exploring
The property was clean and comfortable with all self catering needs catered for. The location was good for exploring the dales with amazing walks on doorstep. The property was nestled in small hamlet but no through traffic which was a bonus but parking in garage would be difficult if you drive anything larger than medium sized car.Generally happy with visit but feel the cottage would benefit from some upgrading but a fair price.
First class sterling cottage
A fabulous holiday cottage. Mr Fawcett thought of everything. Superb and delightful. Lovely furnishings. Quality holiday needs all catered for. Cleanliness exemplary. Excellent. Looking forward to a return 2017
Fabulous Cottage
This cottage has a fantastic location, it is a beautiful area. We had a week walking with our dog. Loved Hawes, loved the Dales, visited the Wensleydale Creamery. Went to the Windermere and Theakston Brewery. There is so much to do, we will definitely be back. The Cottage is great, nice big bedrooms, fab views, open fire and a useful utility room.
