12 Oakridge is a holiday cottage located in a tranquil setting close to St Mellion village in Cornwall. The lodge is set in 39 acres of countryside bordering the fabulous St Mellion International golf and leisure resort and is also close to the wonderful beaches of both Devon and Cornwall.
12 Oakridge comes with two golf and two leisure passes which permit free use of the St Mellion facilities, including the two golf courses, swimming and leisure pools (NB; children 12 and under get in free), sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, gym, tennis courts, etc.
St Mellion International Resort has two championship golf courses and has previously hosted the Benson & Hedges International Open and English Seniors Open. The Jack Nicklaus designed ‘Signature Course’ (the UK’s first JN course and one of only three in England) is a real challenge but will live long in the memory. The 'Kernow' course isn’t quite as challenging but is certainly no walk in the park.
Although we love to visit Oakridge as often as we can, unfortunately, due to work & family commitments this does not happen nearly as often as we would like.
This is not a cosy second home benefit for us therefore we are pleased to offer our guests the opportunity to enjoy everything that the property and location has to offer.

We had been looking for a holiday property in Devon or Cornwall as a family getaway and long-term investment and stumbled across Oakridge almost by mistake. How lucky we were - we immediately fell in love with both the house, the 'up-side down' living concept and the location on a tranquil private estate.
Admittedly, this was helped by the fact that certain family members are keen golfers and the Jack Nicklaus designed 'Signature' course plus the 'Kernow' course at St Mellion International Resort provide such varied, challenging and rewarding (at least some of the time!) golf in a superb setting.
That and the fact that the 13th hole on the 'Signature' course is a 1 minute walk across the bridge outside the house with the clubhouse and leisure club a short gentle stroll away across the golf course pretty much sealed it for us.
To enable guests to take advantage of the facilities we provide two golf and two leisure passes to St Mellion which permit two people to play free golf on either the 'Signature' course or the 'Kernow' course whilst two people enjoy the health club facilities which include a 25m pool, leisure pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, CV gym, tennis courts, etc. These passes are complimentary for our guests and included in the rental price and we hope that people appreciate and make good use of them during their stay.
In addition to the golf and leisure facilities, 12 Oakridge provides a superb base from which to explore the beautiful countryside with so much to see and do within just a short drive - there is far too much to list but a few family favourites are Whitsand Bay, Mt Edgcumbe Country Park, Cotehele House & Quay and Antony House.
We have just spent Christmas week at 12 Oakridge and it was very nice accomadation very clean and warm on arrival check in was fine. The house had most things that you could require for a weeks stay with the exception of wine glasses there was no shortage of large glasses but there was only 2 wine glasses . No problem as we just went and brought some from the local supermarket . The only major problem that we had was the steps from the car parking to the house as these are wooden and the steps and handrail when wet and icy were extremely slippy.
Great to have the passes for golf and leisure included. And local pub the Cardinals Hatt was very handy for a drink or food. Simon was extremely helpful and professional and we will return again.
A great location for visiting places in the beautifu Tamar Valley. Golf and leisure club at St Mellion brilliant. Visit to Mount Edgcumbe House for Christmas Farye and the seeing the beautifu Garland at Cotehele house
I stayed 3nights at Oakridge for my wedding. We used it the night before for pre wedding preparations with my mum and bridesmaids and then spent the following 2 nights with my husband.
I cannot recommend enough it was fully equipped with everything you could possibly think of, it's a beautiful location and to top it of lovely and spacious (especially for many women in big dresses including hair and makeup ladies) but also cosy enough for my husband and I to enjoy our first few nights together.
Simon Parker who I dealt with when booking and prior to my stay is an absolute star and cannot help enough we had a beautiful card and champagne left for us and it's these little touches that just made my wedding weekend just perfect.
Would recommend 12 Oakridge extremely high as a must place to stay we even enjoyed a spa day the day after our wedding at st mellion and being a spa therapist would recommend the treatments very highly.

we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 12 Oakridge. The lodge is very clean, equipped with everything you could possible need and a comfortable home from home. The free passes to the golf and leisure are excellent.
A golfers paradise and a great location to explore the whole of Cornwall.

St Mellion is well situated for access to the many delights offered by the south and north Cornwall coasts.
The nearest large beach is the stunning Whitsand Bay which is only 25 min drive away. Just beyond, Rame Head peninsula offers great coast walks & sublime views over Whitsand Bay to the west, Plymouth Sound to the north & the Devon coast line to the east. A little further afield are the seaside resorts of Looe, Polperro & Fowey. Bude & Padstow are approx 1 hour away on the north Cornwall coast.
St Mellion is a small village in south-east Cornwall located on the A388 between Saltash & Callington - to enjoy the various local attractions a car is recommended for your stay.
St Mellion is circa 12 miles north-west of Plymouth & 11 miles east of Liskeard, both of which have main-line stations. The nearest local rail station is Saltash (circa 5 miles). Main line & local train services are operated by First Great Western. The nearest airports are Newquay (42 miles) & Exeter (60 miles).
There are a number of delightful National Trust properties nearby including Cotehele, Lanhydrock and Antony House. Slightly further afield are the magnificent Lost Gardens of Heligan and the world-famous Eden Project. The region offers excellent walking on Bodmin Moor, Dartmoor and the coastline. Many local estates and farms offer horse-riding. Plymouth is within easy reach offering good shops and many interesting places to visit including the Barbican & National Marine Aquarium.
Oakridge is well situated for access to a full range of local facilities including restaurants, pubs and shops.
There is a large new Waitrose supermarket only 10 mins by car which offers a full range of groceries and household goods. Local petrol station, shop and post office 5 mins by car.
Local farms offer fresh local produce such as eggs, clotted cream and milk pasties - do try The Pasty Shop(!) which is 5 mins by car on the way to Waitrose.
The Weary Friar public house is a local favourite serving wholesome food and a good selection of ales and is walk-able from Oakridge via quiet country lanes. Other delightful hostelries are located within a short drive.

A RESERVATION deposit of £200 is required upon booking. The remaining balance of the FULL RENT is due twenty eight (28) days before the arrival date. The reservation deposit automatically converts to a SECURITY deposit upon arrival - subject to no damages, the deposit is fully refundable 7 days after departure.
The normal CHANGEOVER DAY is Saturday, check-in after 15:30, check-out by 10:00. We will consider guest arrival/departure on other days, particularly during low/mid season, but different check-in/out times may apply. The property needs to be fully cleaned and prepared for the next guests on changeover day therefore no early check-in or late check-out is available without express prior agreement.
