About Mrs. S. Leigh

When I retired from British Airways after flying all over the world for 38 years I realised that I wasn't ready to slow down. I had stayed in some wonderful locations and consequently felt I had a good understanding of what guests would expect and want when searching for holiday accommodation.

With that in mind I converted Little Willows 14 years ago and I believe I have achieved a welcoming holiday cottage/B&B. It is still as beautiful now as it was at the start.

I am not complaisant though and continually look for ways of improving, adding, changing or refurbishing Little Willows to meet the ever changing requirements for my guests.

Mrs. S. Leigh purchased this cottage in 1990

Why Mrs. S. Leigh chose Norfolk & The Broads

My husband and I moved from Surrey to be near family and enjoy a quiet rural location

What makes this cottage unique

Beautiful countryside. A quieter pace of life.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had the most wonderful stay at Little Willows. Sally is the perfect hostess, welcoming, solicitous and the cottage is absolutely delightful. 3 days was far too short a time to stay. And the eggs from Sally's chickens was one of the many highlights together with the gorgeous Blueberry cake

A very enjoyable stay

  • 4 of 5

A lovely cottage in a very attractive setting. The two en-suite bedrooms ideally suited our requirements and we enjoyed spending time in the lounge area and on the patio as both had views down the garden.

Absolutely Incredible

I was there for the night before my wedding with a couple of bridesmaids and a friend. Sally could not do enough for us and is so welcoming and friendly. She has beautiful gardens where we got some great pictures.

Relaxation at Little Willows Norfolk

  • 5 of 5

Little Willows was in the most delightful surroundings of the owner's wonderful gardens & a walk to the woods accessed easily through the garden gate.

The layout with the 2 ensuite bedrooms, kitchen, dining area & sitting room overlooking the terrace, courtyard & garden was perfect.

The owner & her lovely dog (& cat) were very friendly & welcoming, even providing some eggs from the hens in the garden.

The location was ideal for visiting the Broads which is what we did, including the recommended boat trip from Wroxham & the ferry at Reedham.

Although we did not visit Norwich this time the cottage is very conveniently placed for a visit to this wonderful cathedral city.

We have no hesitation in recommending this cottage.

Short Norfolk Break

  • 5 of 5

Very well appointed and modern cottage. We stayed as Self-Catering and had all the facilities we needed. Welcomed by Sally, the Proprietor, her friendly dog and cat and some delicious home-made cakes. Sally was an exemplary host and looked after us well.

Cottage is situated close to the Market town of Beccles and within easy reach of Norwich with a choice of two Park & Ride sites but note these are not open on Bank Holidays!

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking time to write a few words on your stay. It was lovely to meet both of you and I'm glad the sun shone for your grand children's christening. Shame that for the rest of your visit the weather was not kind. I do hope that it may be kinder on a future visit.

Perfect stay in a perfect location

  • 5 of 5

I recently stayed in Little Willows for a self catering holiday whilst visiting friends in Norwich. Little Willows was beautifully equipped and no detail overlooked. Set in beautifully maintained gardens it was so restful and I felt very much at home. I was royally welcomed by Mrs Leigh and her little dog, Lola, and nothing was too much trouble for her. I was given excellent advice on restaurants and gardens to visit nearby which I took full advantage of. I will certainly be making a return visit.

Owner's Response: It was so nice to welcome you back. You certainly made the most of your visit and I know that your time at Ranworth Broad and then tea at Blakeney Hotel was enjoyed by you and your friends. Thank you for choosing Little Willows.

A little piece of paradise

  • 5 of 5

Booked Little Willows as a base for my daughter's wedding at Langley Abbey. What a find, the accommodation is superb. Beautifully furnished and with everything you could need on a holiday. As for Sally what a wonderful lady!! Nothing was too much trouble for her. The bride and bridesmaids arrived early on Saturday morning to be pampered and coiffed and there was much coming and going from florists, cars and photographers. Sally took everything in her stride, she even took the photographer into her own home and allowed him to take some snaps of the wedding dress in there with stunning results. Thank you for everything that you did for the special day and also the following days where your knowledge of local walks and eateries was invaluable. Also thanks to Lola(the dog) and Millie(the cat) for their visits.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your lovely review. It really was a delight having you to stay and being involved in the preparations of your daughter's wedding was an added bonus. I must also thank you for the flowers, beautiful box of chocolates, dog toy and treats for Lola and treats for Millie - you spoilt us. I hope I may see you all again in the future. Sally
