About Mrs. S. Leigh
When I retired from British Airways after flying all over the world for 38 years I realised that I wasn't ready to slow down. I had stayed in some wonderful locations and consequently felt I had a good understanding of what guests would expect and want when searching for holiday accommodation. With that in mind I converted Little Willows 14 years ago and I believe I have achieved a welcoming holiday cottage/B&B. It is still as beautiful now as it was at the start. I am not complaisant though and continually look for ways of improving, adding, changing or refurbishing Little Willows to meet the ever changing requirements for my guests.
Mrs. S. Leigh purchased this Cottage in 1990
Why Mrs. S. Leigh chose Waveney District
My husband and I moved from Surrey to be near family and enjoy a quiet rural location
What makes this Cottage unique
Beautiful countryside. A quieter pace of life.

A delightful setting for a comfortable retreat.
The accommodation is fresh, clean and tastefully furnished. Much thought has been given to the detailed requirements of guests. Sally the owner was more than helpful and made us feel most welcome.
The rural setting and beautiful garden gave us just the right ambience for the quiet base we needed. We would recommend this property to anyone and would certainly stay again
Delightful place to stay
We stayed at Little Willows for 3 days from the 14th June 2018 with our daughter, son in law and their little dog Reggie who is a cavapoo. We found the property clean and to a high standard, lovely and cosy for the four of us. The garden was very big and enclosed, Reggie really loved the garden and we didn't have to worry about him getting out. Sally made us feel welcome on arrival including her dog Lola who was always pleased to see us after a day out. Sally was knowledgeable of the local area of good places to eat and to visit and even booked us a table at a local pub. We appreciated the lemon drizzle cake on arrival which we enjoyed with a cup of tea. All in all we found Little Willows a lovely place to stay and is a place we would thoroughly recommend.
Relaxing, rural property!
Little Willows was very well equipped with everything you would need, Sally and Lola were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
Thank you for having us!
It was my pleasure
Very disappointed! Wouldn't return!
The booking was for 2 adults, 2 children and a dog. They arrived with an extra adult saying it would be for 2 nights which I was not prepared for.
On the third day I discovered that the opening/closing handle on the freezer door had been broken off and the door wouldn't close. I immediately ordered a replacement (£48) so the following guests had a functioning freezer. Nothing was reported to me. On day of departure I noted the broken handle and the guest said it had been like that on arrival. I responded that when guest leave I always defrost and clean the fridge and turn it off before next guests arrive. On the morning of their arrival I switched the fridge on, put the freshly filled ice tray in the freezer while also placing a bottle of wine in the fridge - THE HANDLE WAS IN TACT AND SOUND. I said I hoped to be able to fit the replacement handle to avoid a call out engineer fee. She agreed to the £48 being retained from the damage deposit and demanded a copy of the invoice (later provided).
Their dog did not appear to have a bed and I found dog hair all over the sofa. My dog policy states that dogs are not allowed on the furniture. Dog bedding must be provided or to ask me for a dog bed. I discovered that the purple throw in their room was covered in dog hair and I spent ages removing the hair before sending it to be dry cleaned. I can only imagine it had been put down for the dog!
I found a blue substance (could have been Blue Tack?) stuck on the velvet button back chair and have been unable to remove it.
I was not impressed and extremely disappointed
A welcome to the haven by Sally and her dog Lola was a nice touch.
Sally was very helpful and showed us around closely followed by Lola.
Great location for touring around Norfolk and nice to come back to after sightseeing.
The property had everything you could want. Just one thing, the weather was not on our side.
It was such a pleasure having you stay and now you've returned home, Lola and I are already missing you. I look forward to your return. You were so unlucky with the weather but I promise you Norfolk has beautiful sunny days which you would love, so come back. 😎
A very enjoyable stay
A lovely cottage in a very attractive setting. The two en-suite bedrooms ideally suited our requirements and we enjoyed spending time in the lounge area and on the patio as both had views down the garden.
North Norfolk coast is 1 hour's drive away. Lowestoft is about 30 minutes drive.
Norwich is 9 miles away
