Set in landscaped gardens the swimming pool with children's section is positioned alongside the restored windmill and overlooks the old town and the coast. A snack bar is available during the summer months. Utility Room: Washing machine in master bathroom. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Maid service several times per week. Linen and towels provided. Guests will be required to bring their own pool/beach towels. Other: Large terrace on upper level. The terrace has magnificent views of the pool, Albufeira Old Town and coastline. Outdoor dining table with 5 chairs Freestanding charcoal BBQ.

Breathtaking terrace view

We arrived late at night to find bread, milk, tea, bananas & a very welcome bottle of white wine.

The apartment is very large with a double bedroom with a huge ensuite shower room, a twin bedroom with a separate shower room next door. There is a small single room which we didn't use. The lounge area is lovely too with a tv and CD player.

The kitchen was very, very well equipped with everything you could want, there is even a cool bag/ice blocks, which we used for our trip to the beach.

The terrace is very large too with seating for 6 and 2 sunbeds with cushions. It has the most amazing sea/pool view, it is absolutely amazing.

There is a supermarket a downhill walk away where we bought everything needed for the week. Next door to the supermarket is a bar which has a BBQ each Sunday, this is a very busy evening with a live band.

The pool area is beautiful too, with a bar, restaurant and small mini market for essentials. I'm not sure in the height of the school holidays, if lots of the apartments are occupied, there would be enough sunbeds to go round.

The walk to the old town is downhill, OK for me to walk but my elderly mum found it too far, therefore, we caught taxis which cost approx 7 euros.

Fabulous holiday

Amazing views and lovely apartment - even has a toastie maker ! We used Yellow fish transfers from the airport and they were excellent ! The facilities were very clean and maintained to a high standard. The snack bar is excellent and has a small shop. The supermarket is nearby as is the beach, harbour and town. The location is on a hill but it was no problem for us and taxis are cheap. The steak house at the Cerro hotel is very good and the service was the best we encountered whilst in the resort.

Wonderful apartment, great location with sea views

A home from home apartment which is very spacious and with the best views we have ever had on a holiday! The welcome pack of food was a nice touch which we very much enjoyed on our lunch time arrival. Everything was clean and well maintained. There was plenty of crockery, glasses and the kitchen very well equipped. We made good use of the espresso coffee machine!

The apartment manager paid two visits at the start and end of our stay but is easily contactable for any needs.

The Yellowfish taxi transfer service is excellent and would highly recommend. Restaurants nearby are all good and within walking distance. Good value is the nearby Cerro Hotel which also has a good buffet menu and live music in their cocktail lounge/bar.

The penalty for such fantastic views is the steepness of the walk into town and the beach but taxis are readily available and come quick if walking gets too challenging. Weather for our stay was incredible for late September with a pleasant breeze. Air con isn't provided and really wasn't needed as the fresh air from outside was very pleasant.

maid service was provided twice during our two week stay. All in all a very enjoyable stay in a lovely apartment which I would definitely recommend.

Great apartment for a family holiday

We had a great 2 weeks in this apartment at Windmill Hill.

The apartment has all the space and facilities for our family of five, with great views of the bay and pool area from the roof terrace.

We found the apartment, grounds and pool area to be very clean and well maintained, with courtesy visits and cleans from the management team.

We would defiantly look to return one day and would recommend to friends and family.

Unbelievable

Well it doesn't get any better

Everything we could ask for and so so much more :-)

From the moment we arrived the place just took my breath away - I was just over joyed

We went just for 8 days - it was not enough

I will definitely return

The old town is so laid back and friendly

The apartment is in a hill and it's good keeping you trim but if you have people within the party who struggle walking you will find it a little difficult but we eat out every night - drank lots of wine and cocktails and I didn't put any weight on

So so good - don't miss out on this amazing place :-)

Windmill Hill is only a 10 minute walk to the nearest beach and within easy reach of many other magnificent beaches, including Sao Rafael and Gale.

Travel:

Fly to Faro Airport which is accessible through a number of budget airlines from the UK. The apartment is situated to the west of Albufeira just above the old town. Taxis from the airport will cost approx 45 Euro. Car hire, though not essential, is readily available.

Distances:

Windmill Hill is an 8 to 10 mins walk to the old town of Albufeira and a short distance to the new marina. A short taxi ride takes you to the vibrant strip area and the Algarve shopping complex. Albufeira is one of the Algarve's most popular resorts but retains its distinctive Portuguese character. The historic town is particularly pretty with its narrow cobbled streets lined with whitewashed houses, restaurants and shops. The central square is a good place to sit and watch the world go by.

Further Details:

The Algarve is famous for its excellent year round climate, sandy beaches and outstanding golf courses. In addition, there are aqua parks, Zoomarine and other play parks. There is a supermarket within a short walk of the complex. There is an abundance of restaurants serving both local and international cuisine.
